Incredibly Successful Shoulder Reconstruction
Dr. Takenishi made the impossible happen for me—I am on my way to a full recovery from an incredibly complex injury. I fractured 50% of my shoulder socket into fragments and he shared with me that it was one of the most challenging cases that he’s seen. He was able to recover all the fragments, reshape my shoulder socket with screws and anchors, and my fracture has fully healed. I am right on schedule with my PT, I have regained my strength and range of motion and I am confident that I will be playing competitive golf again in a couple months time. I am incredibly thankful for Dr. Takenishi’s skill and precision in how he pieced me back together and I give him my highest recommendation!

paperwork filled out. I dropped off the paperwork on 10/23 and did not receive a response until 11/5 after sending multiple messages to his office. After careful consideration, I decided to cancel my surgery which was scheduled in 3 weeks. I could not confidently move forward. I had to inform my work/HR of the changes and cancel my help arrangements. I was deeply disappointed in Dr. Takenishi's office staff.

Dr. Takanishi
From the original appointment Dr. Takanishi was the most gracious physician I have gone to. I am a retired acute hospital ceo and Dr. Takanishi is the best Orthopedic Surgeon I have ever been associated with. His surgery was perfect and my outcome was fantistic.

Reverse Shoulder Replacement Surgery
I had an excellent result. After 8 weeks I have nearly full range of movement with little to no pain. His office visits both pre and post surgery were on time. Previous orthopedists had refused to do the surgery due to my age and health.

Dr. Takenishi was very professional and knowledgeable. His bedside manner and communication skills made me feel very comfortable and his explanation of my shoulder issue and possible treatments was very clear. The staff were exceptional and the office was easily accessible, I would highly recommend him.

PT vs Surgery
Dr Takenishi took the time to listen carefully of my injury (meniscus) and recommended PT versus surgery. I am very active and decided to go with his recommendation and 3 months to date, my knee is rehabilitating to a point where I will be close to continuing my active lifestyle again. Thank you Dr T!

Doctor Takenishi performed my shoulder surgery. All interactions with him before the surgery were professional. The surgery went well also, only negative with him was during a post surgery appointment. At this appointment I had trouble taking off my shirt and he asked how often have I been moving my arm? I replied I have been doing the stretches given as much as my pain would allow me. He stated I'm behind and need to be doing my stretches a hundred times more and stop being scared, because he had two older patients already able to do more then me with the same surgery. I was taken back it was pretty rude and unprofessional for him to say that, I was very respectful to him. I told him I'm not scared and I have been doing my stretches according to my pain. He said this is where your arm needs to be,he lifted it above and in different positions, the pain was excruciating. Despite this my PT said I was progressing well and be mindful of my pain not to push it. Maybe he was having a badday
