My left hip was virtually destroyed by osteoarthritis; I could hardly walk. Dr. Polkowski's hip-replacement work was a dream come true. He displays great compassion, skill and thoroughness.

Dr. Polkowski took time to ask questions and assess my problem. He discovered the pain in my knee was radiating from my hip. A previous doctor sent me back to PT and it didn’t help. He was knowledgeable and thoughtful.

Dr. Polkowski is the very best !!!!
Very thorough. Explained everything. I actually walked out of the surgery unit. Set up rehab videos immediately, monitored my progress. Always kept appointments on time. I highly recommend him to anyone needing orthopedic care.

new faculty small clean efficient like a formula one race track pit stop! All the staff anesthesiologist nurses and polkowskis team were very reassuring/caring --great experience followup visits also the same!

Excellent experience
I felt listened to and important. Was easy to contact when I had questions. My individual needs were addressed. I had one knee done in early January and the second done in mid-March. Felt comfortable and informed about all steps along the way. Have had wonderful results and my knees feel 30 years younger and can do so many things I haven't been able to do. Dr. Polkowski, was great and his PA Kyle Brooks is wonderful too! Highly recommend!

Exceptional experience
Dr. Polkowski and the entire Vanderbilt Health team are outstanding! I had total hip replacement surgery on my right hip in March 2022. The pre-op, surgery and post-op visit went so well that I will have total left hip replacement surgery in July 2022 preformed by Dr. Polkowski at Vanderbilt Health. The excellent care makes the four hour one way trip worth while.

Exceptional care
I have had two hip resurfacing procedures completed in 8/2022 and second 4/2022. Dr Polkowski is an active runner himself and understands the importance in returning to an active lifestyle. He and his PA are a terrific team. I would highly recommend to anyone look g for alternative to total hip replacement

I have been a patient of Dr. Polkowski for years. He was very understanding and worked with me until I decided to have my knee replacement. I had not seen him in several years when I went back to proceed with the replacement. He knew me as soon as he walked in the door! He remembered my circumstances and then he moved everything right along. Never missed a beat. He truly is the best.

The whole experience was amazing i went from barely walking nor being able to everyday thing that we take for granted to now i can do anything like i used to before my hip messed up. I am amazed of how good i feel and it’s only been 3 month after total hip replacement. Thank you for giving me my life back. I am only 45 mother of 4 and work full time. I loved the fact i could stay home and do my rehab through Force.
