Arrogant, condescending and impatient
My experience with Dr Randolph was extremely disappointing. He clearly had no interest whatsoever in listening to me, and I most certainly did not feel cared for. He interrupted me several times, said he had answered one of my very few questions a few times, and when I asked my question again, he realized that, no, he had not actually answered it. Dr Randolph was arrogant (reminding me of the important papers he had authored), impatient (I felt very rushed and not able to ask the questions I had wanted to ask) and extremely condescending. He had absolutely no 'bedside' manner, and I certainly would not want to see him again.

The best!
Dr. Randolph has the experience, expertise and top-notch team that that set him apart. He explained my condition and plan of care more clearly than any physician I have ever seen. He and his resident were quite attentive post-op. I could not be more satisfied.

Dr. Randolph is superb!
My recent appointment was a follow-up about 15 months after thyroid surgery. From my first appointment with Dr. Randolph through this most recent one I have felt comfortable that I was receiving optimal care from one of the best. His "chairside" manner is relaxed and reassuring. His resume speaks for itself. I am fortunate to have been a patient of his.

Disappointed by follow up visit
This review is a commentary on a 4 month post-surgical follow up visit: I came from almost 2 hrs away for an appointment scheduled for 11:45 a.m.. After checking in, I asked the front desk staff how the appts were running and was told that he was about 1 hr behind. I returned about 45 minutes later and was told that things were moving quickly and that I would be likely be brought in within 15 minutes. Nope. I wasn't seen until about 2 p.m.. When I was finally seen, he went over possible outcomes for blood tests that he was going to order (which could have been done previsit and then discussed at this visit). He had already discussed this at my previous post-op visit and so this was not new info.! He also did not look at my scar and only told me that it was still pink and should still be covered with scar strips after I asked him on the way out. Visit was a waste of time but cost me for gas, parking, and dealing with late traffic coming back out of town and almost missing a 6 pm appt..

Very professional and explains things clearly
This was my first visit with Dr. Randolph, and right from the start it was clear the he had already reviewed my case file in detail and was well informed. He took the time to explain the details clearly, and also stated a clear direction and plan moving forward. Dr. Randolph is also very personable and comfortable to talk with.

I’m sure he’s medically competent but he can’t manage a schedule. Several appoints I’ve waited 1.5 hrs plus just to hear come back for follow-up in 1 year. Ridiculous , have some respect for your patients

Seeing Dr. Randolph is always a good experience. He has mostly been on time unless he has a full office. I was delighted the last time I saw him on 10/22/20 that there was only one other patient in his office. We could not get a reading on my ultra sound and so he encouraged me to go home and he would call as soon as it came in. He did just that and helped me to have a nice stressless weekend. I think he should get 5 stars!

When I entered Dr. Randolph's office, I was greeted by very friendly, cordial & welcoming staff. Dr. Randolph & his Interns are amazing. I knew instantly that I was in very competent hands. Dr. Randolph Explained everything to me, and assured me that he had no problem answering any questions & to call his office anytime. The day of my surgery, everyone involved were very nice & could not do enough for me. I had a total Thyroidectomy. All went well & all involved were wonderful. I felt great was up and about talking, eating & drinking. I had zero pain and very mild discomfort in my throat. Pain meds or over the counter were not necessary. Dr. Randolph came in to see me prior to my release & called to check on me at home. Awata his intern is amazing. Bottom line these professionals are the best. I highly recommend Dr. Randolph he is a rare gem & I will forever be grateful to him. I give Dr. Randolph 10 plus stars. God Bless all of you for everything. I feel wonderful. Thank You.

I visited Dr. Randolph for a 2nd opinion and I am so grateful that I did. I was seen within 2 weeks of calling and he helped me weigh the options of either having the partial thyroidectomy or continuing to monitor. We decided to have the surgery. Afterwards, my pathology report unexpectedly came back with 2 different kinds of cancer and he fit me in within 2 days to make a plan and answer all of my questions. He is incredibly knowledgeable and has such a wonderful demeanor. Highly recommended!

Lots of useful information from Dr. Randolph ahead of the surgery and lots of personal followup by Dr. Randolph after my total thyroidectomy. After I experienced unexpected complications a few days after surgery he was in constant communication with me and worked extremely well with the attending doctor of my local hospital as they worked to resolve the issue over the 3 days I was there. Would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Randolph (and Mass Eye and Ear) to anyone needing thyroid surgery.

Highly recommend Dr. Randolph! He is great at what he does. I had a Left thyroidectomy with him about 10 years ago and other physicians comment that the scar is barely noticeable. He also uses the machine that hooks up to your voice-box so that he will not nick the vocal cords during surgery. Great doctor!!
