Dr. Kantarjian is a CML "god" and my local oncologist agrees with me. He has advised my local doctor along my journey. He and his staff are very caring, take plenty of time to answer questions and educate and show they truly want the best for their patients. He is outstanding in the field of CML research and I would recommend him to anyone newly diagnosed with this cancer.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kantarjian for 24 years and I credit him (and God) for saving my life. When I was diagnosed with CML, the standard treatment was alpha interferon and cytarabine and the 5-year survival rate was 20%. I was able to be part of the Gleevec trial study, starting around 2000 and stayed on it for about 14 years & have been on Sprycel for the last 3 years. Dr. K. is genuinely interested in all my health issues. He is an advocate for patients against the high cost of drugs.
