Extremely disappointing
As other women have stated, extremely unkind and judgmental. Invalidating to any concerns. He deferred any concerns I had to my vision and needing a new script (new glasses less then 6 weeks ago), managed acid reflux, stress, or such mild asthma that I don't even use an inhaler for but 1-2 times a year when I am exposed to a lot of dust. He told me to ask any questions and then when I did, he said 'you can google those things' providing very minimal information. He failed to address that I was referred for having diagnosed, ongoing sinus infections, ear infections and a mucous producing cough for the past 4 months. I went for the follow-up appointment giving him grace and thinking I could have caught him on a bad day. I should have trusted my gut and left within the first 5 minutes of the first appointment.
What went well
  • Appointment scheduling
  • Wait times
What could be improved
  • I didn't feel respected
  • Didn't listen or answer questions
  • Didn't explain conditions well
  • Appointment was rushed
  • Didn't trust the provider's decisions

Terrible bedside manner
Very rude to me the entire appointment, voiced his personal opinions on the personal appearance and occupation, criticized me for not knowing if I snore (single and childless so nobody to tell me if I do). He did treat the issue I was there to see him for, but I will not be returning ever again.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Malati?
I had made many visits with other doctors & prescriptions for the symptoms, that never helped. My first visit & exam with Dr. Malati, he immediately diagnosed the SOURCE of the problem. Surgery was scheduled and preliminary lab work & tests were done. After surgery and monitoring my condition in the hospital, I was released and appointment made for follow-up. (which was scheduled for a weekend at his office.) I haven't heard of a Dr. making a weekend appt. In 50 years! HIGHLY recommend him!!
