I too felt totally ignored. I saw Dr. Bengtson as I had severe pain in one knee that continued to worsen over the past month, and then just last week, the pain started to subside, but I kept my appointment anyway. The staff was super friendly; however, I was taken from the waiting area to an office without the chance to even complete the questionnaire I had been asked to fill out. For example, they never got my PCP to notify them of my visit or results. And I still haven't figured out how to update the Northfield Hospital Clinics My Health Info. Dr. Bengtson almost immediately appeared once I returned to my room, looked at an x-ray and told me I had arthritis due to the loss of cartilage and handed me a half-sheet of paper that contained a list of things to take or do, no details and without any explanation. Read the Feb. 29, 2024 review as I TOTALLY AGREE with what that person said, and would add: How rude and UNCARING!Yes, he was perched sideways in his chair as if ready to leave!

I consulted Dr Bengtson for a second opinion regarding long time pain in both knees after his colleague told me I needed knee replacements immediately. Dr B perched sideways in his chair as if ready to leave at any minute, did not listen or hear when I talked about the pain and difficulty walking, didn't order xrays. And then told me I probably would never need knee surgery. He didn't even talk about injections.Thankfully I persevered, sought and received help out of town from an amazing and thorough surgeon who listened to me.

This man fixed me so very well. Both times I fell. This was the second time I broke bones in my left wrist area. He used some metal and screws in the repair. I have no pain now and have full function of the wrist. My next fall tore 3 tendons in my right shoulder. It is a hard recovery but with the fantastic physical therapy team, I have full movement of my arm and shoulder. I was warned this was a hard recovery but stood tough and am glad I did it. Thank you Dr Bangston for your great knowledge and performance through these surgeries. I recommend you highly!!Cathy Hedstrom

Dr Bengtsons replaced both my knees, and I have absolutely no complaints. He was very informative and compassionate with me, answered all my questions in ways I understood, and helped immensely with recovery. I highly recommend him.

Dr Bengtson is very knowledgeable and has experience in rotator cuff surgeries. He took time to explain the process of the surgery and to answer all my questions. He and his staff took very good care of me during surgery and afterwords.
