Dr. Horim Choi, MD

Doctor says one thing but puts something else in my chart. He was not able to help me and I was told he did not know what was wrong and that my MRI did not match my level of pain. But my chart tells a different story. Was only given cream for pain that is useless. My arm is getting worse. But he does not care. He came into the room with a bad attitude, so naturally I get one too. Choi also added some false statements to my file. I was warned that he does not do much for his patience.

I twisted my knee and ended up in the ER. After x-rays and an MRI they found I had a multidirectional torn meniscus that was detached and some torn cartilage, and arthritis. I appreciate the time Dr. Choi took to talk me through my diagnosis and treatment options. We decided to go with an injection and waiting to see the pain is tolerable before thinking about surgery and the risks that come with that. After he gave me that injection I feel almost back to normal! I can sleep all night without waking up from knee pain. Today I am able to do my regular activities that I haven't been able to do in 6 months. I'm so glad he didn't push for surgery. Without a guaranteed outcome, it wouldn't have been worth more down time. I would recommend Dr. Choi, he has great communication skills and knowledge on knee injuries, but to be clear, I personally don't know his skills as a surgeon.
