Dr. Ilona Carlos, MD

I wish I can give zero stars, I looked up a obgyn doctor for my wife that was pregnant at the time and only speaks spanish that's the only reason we went with Dr Carlos, I wish I would've done more research, the first appointment my wife had was the last one, the way she talks to her patients is unprofessional she it's almost like she's doing us the biggest favor in the world, Dr Carlos if your reading this maybe you should've picked a different profession because being a doctor requires patience, professionalism, and a good bed side manner.

Great experience! Would definitely recommend Dr. Carlos!

Nightmare visit!-After my regular Gyn retired last year, he sent me a list of Drs. he recommended. I selected Dr. Carlos w/high expectations I waited for an app. a month. Big Mistake! Staff- OK. Since the moment Dr. Carlos entered to the room, she made me feel very unwelcomed and uncomfortable..saying"Nice to meet you" w/out eye contact-giving me her back going directly to the computer, like she wasn't interested in having a new patient at all , and/or she was in a hurry. Also, she didn't like I questioned her about issue related to hysterectomy and a Pap smear test, something I didn't know from other doctors. Her attitude was arrogant and unkind. I don't doubt about her knowledge and education, but I'm educated too. I'm a Chemist, Business Ad, w/Master in Ed, and Med Interp, so I'm able to understand a doctor's answer. My test was HORRIBLE! She was rude, did not use the jelly, hurt me badly, I screamed the whole time. No Empathy at all. I have had a lot of discomfort since then.

Total nightmare till today I still haven’t gotten over it. I still remember her angry face, screaming at everyone in the room. She gave orders to the nurse to induce me, broke my water without my knowledge, basically almost forced me to take epidural when I clearly had stated that I wanted a natural birth. She had no patience or empathy, straight to my face while in pain she said my baby was gonna come out with flat heart rate

If you are overweight and in need of a good gynecologist to recommend birth control options, do NOT go to her. I have never felt so mistreated and fat shamed in my life. I was a new patient, she didn't ask me any questions about myself or my health history. She saw me for a total of 3 minutes and told me I was too overweight for an IUD and that I need to lose weight and then we will talk about options once I lose weight and walked out of the room.

Horrible experience with Dr Carlos. She's screamed at me for stopping my birth control pill because it was affecting my health. Went back to her because of issue with my iud and spotting and again screams at me that there's nothing wrong with me that I'm just getting old, if i did not want to get pregnant again that i need to stay with the iud or go back to birth control pills. No concern whatsoever about my issues.Horrible bed side manner, treats patients as if they are children.
