Presumptive and Rude Pt. 2
Leaving someone who has had a sharp increase in migraine symptoms and difficulty seeing to the point they get admitted with just OTC vitamins as the solution for their migraine problem? Not constructive or helpful. I love vitamin suggestions, when migraines are more under control, not flared up. If someone’s admitted due to trouble seeing for a week, now’s not the time to be the most conservative, no meds, unless that’s what your patient wants.

Dr. Acosta overviewed my stroke. She was caring nd diligent. she made me feel confident and safe. I strongly recommend dr Acosta, who I consider an exceptional proffesional in a health system which lacks of humanity as the American. Her caring nature and kinddiligence were evident throughout our interaction. She made me feel confident and safe in her hands, giving me the encouragement I needed to continue on my road to recovery. Unfortunately, I never could book an appoint with her afeter I left thehospital

Presumptive and Rude
Dr Acosta hinted that my 4 day neuro icu could be the result of several different neurological issues (Stroke, seizure, epilepsy, etc) and had tests results to back it. However after telling me I had had a stroke before 30 she very quickly reversed that diagnosis and told me it was a result of depression. After getting discharged and seeking a second opinion I was able to confirm that I did in fact have a stroke. Her bedside manner was horrific, and she provided no explanation as to what had happened or how to prevent it. Further more she cleared me to return to work despite being fully paralyzed on my left side. DO NOT go to adventhealth Orlando if you are experiencing a neurological emergency as she will leave you in worse shape.

She makes assumptions on patients with no real explanation or test results to back up her claim and only leaves the family feeling even more worried and confused than before.

This Dr is rude, dismissive and sarcastic. Her bedside manner is horrific. If she doesn’t understand something, then it must be wrong or misdiagnosed. She does not listen at all and just wants to talk at you waving her hand in your face. She does not have deep knowledge of MS and needs to get some mentoring from Drs in compassionate care.

Dr. Acosta put in the system that she had checked in on my Grandma when myself and 4 other family members were in the room the entire time and than she called us all liars, discharged my grandma, and she never once saw my grandmother in her life, probably never looked at the file. Surprised she has a license. I will let Medicare know she is committing fraud.

So after waiting for a neurology evaluation for nearly a full extra day in the hospital, Dr Acosta came into my room and said i needed to be discharged because the "scans look clear", and said my vertigo was ENT related, which contradicted several tests that had already been done by PT. Her discharge diagnosis was rushed and inaccurate to my symptoms, which is now causing me an uphill battle when explaining my situation to other neurologists. She was the only downside of my stay.

On several occasions, this year, I have been admitted to Florida Hospital Orlando Neurological wing for exacerbation of Myasthenia Gravis. Dr. Acosta has worked with my neurologists to see to my recovery from the exacerbations. The last visit (only three days) she tended to be somewhat "stand-offish" and acted as if each visit to my room was an imposition. This last experience has left me luke-warm, at best regarding my recommending her to anyone else.
