I had been diagnosed with a benign nodule in the left side of my thyroid in 2012. In 2023, the size of the nodule had increased to the point where swallowing became more difficult. I had consulted with Dr Hsu since 2017 and we determined that it was time to remove half of my thyroid. I am 68 yrs old and hadn't had a surgery since I was 34 yrs old. I was nervous about the procedure, but Dr Hsu gave me all the information and encouragement you could ever want in a doctor. His expertise and knowledge is beyond reproach and his ability to explain the procedure and the healing process was very comforting and helpful. Now, 3 months since the surgery, I feel good, my voice is fine, and the scar is getting smaller each day. I wouldn't hesitate to use Dr Hsu again and I highly recommend his service!

Dr. Hsu has a friendly bed-side manner. However, after (3) visits over (6) months and $90 in co-pays, I'm no closure to receiving a diagnosis for the ear pain I have been experiencing. Every visit was the same...come in, sit down, answered some questions, then the Dr. would inspect my ears with a strong camera that captured the outer ear (not middle or inner ear). During my (3) visits, I was told "I'm not sure what it is, but call me if you continue to experience these symptoms." Well... I did, and still no answers. No answers because absolutely NO tests were conducted - no blood work, no antibiotics to treat a potential middle-ear infection, no scope to view the tube connecting my ear and throat - nothing! When I called to make a 4th appointment, I was told I'd have to see a neurologist - there's nothing the Dr. could or would do. Furthermore, Dr. Hsu's staff, were unprofessional, as IF I was there to serve them - likely related to the 3rd world culture at Valley Health. Shame...

Couldn’t possibly ask for a better ENT. Dr. Hsu was kind, professional, and explained everything thoroughly every step of the way. He clearly cares about his patients deeply, and it’s honestly such a refreshing experience to see a doctor who actually cares about you. I wound up getting a tonsillectomy and would not have wanted to do the procedure with anyone else as he did a fantastic job. (It’s actually pretty intimidating to get that surgery as an adult, and he warned me ahead of time I would be miserable. Worth it!) His entire staff is also great and very prompt at answering/returning any phone calls. Highly recommend him to everyone.

Everything you would want out of a doctor he possesses. Kind, smart, funny, great listener, accepting, understanding, awesome at explaining everything, and by far great bedside manner.

Dr. Hsu is wonderful! He is kind, thoughtful, extremely knowledgeable and competent. After 60 years of having nasal polyps removed by a number of physicians, I had the best experience ever. I will recommend him to everyone I know. We are so fortunate to have him in Front Royal, VA

I met Dr. Hsu yesterday for the first time/first time appointment. What a fine gentleman and doctor. He explained everything very clearly and succinctly. I wish that I had met him decades ago. I fully recommend him and he had a very fine, friendly staff.

Recently, my wife sought medical attention for neck swelling at an Urgent Care office, where she was basically told that there was a strong possibility she had cancer. Needless to say, this destroyed our weekend. Dr. Hsu's staff kindly squeezed us in for an appointment first thing Monday morning. The Nursing Staff is SECOND TO NONE. Professional and HUMAN, and FUN. Dr. Hsu, turns out, is the most PERSONABLE, UNDERSTANDING, CALMING, COMPETANT doctor we have ever met. We simply love them all

He took his time, and my son loved him! I really liked the fact that he took so much time to explain to me why and how we were having he problems with my two year old that we were! BEST ENT AROUND!!

I was a walk in and I got accepted. Very friendly staff The doctor was wonderful and very professional.He spend a lot of time with me and was listening to my problem. He helped me where other doctors couldn't.I am very greatful to Dr Hsu
