Fabulous Dr.
Dr. Gallardo comes in to my appointments fully prepared, having reviewed my history and recent test results. She also has a great memory, is personable and has a sense of humor. She is clear in explaining ongoing action plans for health concerns. It’s not her fault that it’s hard to make appointments with her. Inside the UCLA system excellent help is always available.

Like most working adults, I have to take PTO in order to make my appointments. Dr. Gallardo and her staff DO NOT care about their patients. They will make you wait a year for an appointment then call 2 weeks before to tell you they have to reschedule and can't see you for another 6 months. As a 2x cancer survivor with ongoing health issues from the surgeries and treatments, it is appalling how coldly they treat their patients. I can not statr strongly enough how callous and cold they are. Do not go to this physician's office. They do not care about you.

Unable to Get an Appointment
Although I am a patient, I was unable to get an appointment for more than a year from when I called the office. Then my prescriptions were not refilled because I hadn’t been in for an appointment

Review of UCLA Health, Dr. J. Gallardo
I highly recommend Dr. J. Gallardo of UCLA Health in San Luis Obispo, CA as a primary doctor. It's hard to find a doctor who takes the time to get to know you. She is patient, listens to your concerns and provides advice. Her office staff is professional. Dr. Gallardo is easy to contact through the portal. She answers your email within a day or so. It's very convenient. She was raised in this area and was happy to come back to service the community.
