Very personable, got to know me as a person, and demonstrated a thorough understanding of my ailments.

I had met Dr. Baquero a very short time ago, as he is my wife's gastroenterologist. On Monday the 26th I had a gastric emergency that took me to the ER where I asked them to contact Dr. Baquero and tell him if he came to see me, well, he showed up the next morning very hard and immediately assumed his role as a specialist and began to treat me, this led to an endoscopy and finally gallbladder surgery. I am very happy with his attention and he is highly recommended.

Initial visit was to address the need for a screening colonoscopy to address my history of colonic polyps. Dr Baquero was polite, friendly and took a sincere interest in my medical issue. Without hesitation he formulated an initial plan to assess my condition and sent me for related blood work. He is a Harvard educated physician - I am glad to have him as my gastroenterologist.

Poorly Run Office Reflects On Dr. Skill
Terrible customer service. I used to run a health care system and was referred to this practice for a colonoscopy, I had to reschedule and then when I tried to reschedule (I’m calling THEM to set up a procedure where I pay THEM $’s) I couldn’t get anyone to assist. When I gave up and called to get a copy of my records so I could go elsewhere they couldn’t manage that feat either - the last time (today) they connected me to a medical records number which actually said it was “out of order” - who in the world would trust their health to a practice that is managed this poorly? I learned in my career that a poorly run practice was a direct reflection on a sloppy physician - something which none of us would want doing an invasive procedure. Beware of these guys.

Dr. Baquero seems like a competent and knowledgeable physician. The problem I have is with the communication through his office and patient portal. I can never reach anyone in the office or online.

He did not share with me what the tests I had revealed. I had to ask and got only a tiny bit of info. His only recommendation for possible LPR (silent Gerds) that I suspected was to take acid blocker pills, high dose...all with questionable side effects and not recommended by experts in this problem. He dismissed diet as having any bearing on the problem.

I went to see Dr. Baquero a few years ago. He was totally uninterested in my symptoms or concerns. He saw that I was overweight and told me I needed Gastric Bypass surgery. I went to another Dr. at the same practice who told me the same. I have IBS, and food sensitivities. They couldn't care less about my health or future, all they saw was fat. I have spent quite a while working up the courage to see someone else, and am now at a new practice. No one deserves to be ignored or treated like they don't matter. Gastic would not have solved any of my problems but came with many risks. None that they seemed concerned about, because as a fat person, who cares if it kills me, as long as I get thinner, right? I am an active person who walks in the woods several miles many times a week, I enjoy many activities and eat a healthy diet. Yes, I am overweight, but I am so much more then that. The entire practice seems to only see one thing though.
