I wish to express my eternal gratitude to Renown cardiologists and surgeons Dr. Ichino, Ebner and Roumanas. They worked as a team to select the best form of treatment for my severe aortic stenosis combined with severe calcification of several arteries. My journey began with expectations that a Transcather Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) might be sufficient to treat the valve stenosis and, after several CAT scans and an Angiogram, this cardiac team worked together to decide on a treatment that (most likely) would grant me several more years to live beyond that of replacing the aortic valve alone. I would wholeheartedly recommend these Renown cardiologists Drs. Ichino, Ebner and Roumanas for your cardiac care!

My experience with Dr.Ichino has been very positive.Every time I leave his office I feel that he has answered all of my questions in a professional way that I can understand.He is very down to earth with his approach, seems to care about patients' concerns.I would highly recommend him as one of the best doctors.

Dr Ichino placed four stents in my arteries surrounding my heart. He did an excellent job and I highly recommend him! He has great bedside manor and explained the procedure prior to the procedure in layman’s terms that I could understand. I hate to use cliche’s, but he did save my life.

Can't say enough good about Dr. Ichino. He went to bat for me so that I had a mitral valve repair instead of a valve replacement. He kept my head from failing; kept me alive in order to have the best surgeon do the repair. I owe him my life!

Stay away! I was experiencing heart issues, and was informed by a PA it may be SVT, so I was seen by Dr. Ichino. After multiple tests, and a 20 minute meeting, he told me I'm fine, probably stress related, no SVT. The heart issues continued periodically for 2 years and started to get more frequent. I finally got a second opinion from a cardiologist at Standard. He met with me for 3 hours and explained that I have SVT and showed me on all the tests Dr. Ichino already completed 2 years ago.

Upon receipt of echo results, he called our father and told him he needed surgery. My father is 90. We were referred to another surgeon who stated my father did not need surgery, he is asymptomatic and very active, in spite of his aortic stenosis. Dr. Ichino went so far as to have someone call my father and tell him when his surgery was scheduled, prior to any discussion with our family or seeing the other highly recommended surgeon. This caused major stress for our 90 year old parents and us.
