Dr. James Dunnan, MD

Dr Dunnan has been my PCP for over 30 years and is taking well deserved retirement. We will truly miss him !!

Dr. Dunnan has been my doctor since I was a kid, so atleast 15 years. He is and always has been very thorough, kind, competent, and detail-oriented. I highly recommend him if you want a doctor that cares and has many years of experience :)

Reasons I recommend Dr Dunnan above any other Dr I've seen previously:- I never feel rushed- No guilt trips - just recommendations (eg; we went through every medical option there was while I tried to quit smoking - and eventually did in 2014)- Great communication and follow up. Dr. Dunnan actively listens and it's easy to ask questions (and get answers)- Dr. Dunnan seems to genuinely care about my health- Dr. Dunnan shows compassion and empathy. He is friendly, confident and knowledgeable- I've never had a better doctor.

We have seen Dr dunnan for years. He is wonderful with our teenage boys. He is thorough and knowledgeable! He is a great man and doctor!!

From everything from the staff at COPCP to Dr. Dunnan himself this place is exceptional. Dr. Dunnan is probably one of the best, if not actually the best doctor I have been to. He listens and gives you his full attention, and always listens to my concerns and always makes a diagnosis that leads to better health than I’ve had before! Not often have I had a doctor who pays attention to the details and asks about my entire wellbeing. I can’t rave enough about the quality of care and compassion I receive there! I’ve give them 10 stars if it would let me.

Dr Dunnan always takes as much time as needed in our appointments. He is thorough and he never rushes through the appointment.

Dr. Dunnan and the entire staff at Scioto Family Physicians are fantastic. I am not normally one to heap praise although in this case I cannot say enough good about this practice. Dr. Dunnan himself is considerate, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and listens to your issues. And all of my visits, he has been able to diagnose the problem and recommend treatment that resolves the issue. I simply would not go anywhere else!

A caring physician that is very thorough with a great bedside manner

I had a very minimal wait to see the doctor. Everyone in the office was polite and helpful. I had came to the clinic for two different reasons. He spent plenty of time listening to the symptoms and asking questions. I never feel rushed or herded through the facility.

I highly recommend dr Dunnan. He does a great job listening and taking his time with you to decide the best treatment and care to give you. Very pleasant personality as well.
