Dr Muldowney is a God send
If you are looking for the whole package - this is your Physician! Even though my symptoms are disabling, he has given me and other hope that he will get us to a point that we can manage them the best we can. He truly cares about me. He is trustworthy and intelligent but not arrogant. I travel through 3 states to see him and I’m hoping he gets licensed for telemed visits nationwide as traveling takes a toll on my health. I Thank God for this man.

My visit with Dr. Muldowney was fantastic. He is a great doctor and very knowledgeable but it is clear he has taken on too many patients. It takes me over a week to get a response through the portal. After several attempts to reach him by email and phone, I gave up. This definitely makes me want to change providers.

The best doctor I have ever seen (and I have seen dozens). He is empathetic, kind, thorough, brilliant, up to date on medical research, and clearly communicates diagnoses, symptoms, implications, treatment options, and medication effects, interactions, side effects, and mechanisms of action. He looks at the whole picture of a patient and genuinely cares about an individual’s wellbeing. I have had many great and not so great doctors, and everyone I have seen at Vanderbilt has been awesome. I am so grateful to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, especially to Dr. Muldowney, for treating patients not just as problems inside a body but as unique human beings. Thank you for everything you do.

I went to him as a specialist in autonomic dysfunction. He knew as much if not less than I did and talked to me like I knew nothing and had never tried treatments. Every time I spoke, he interrupted me. I went with a family member and he told her that my tachycardia would go away as time progressed, which is frequently not the case.
