Dr. James Tinsley, MD

I was his patient for two years. He's a pretender, spends more time talking about himself than listening. Does only minimal preventative care (required by Medicare), no vaccinations or even advice about what ones you should be getting. I got shingles four months after I asked for a shingles shot. I was extremely ill and he never bothered to call or check on me. Despite his words to the contrary, he does not care about his patients.

He is a great doctor and as a primary care physician caring and concerned. I love having him as my concierge Dr. I could not imagine having to visit a general practice doctor again.

Worst Doc I’ve seen. He thinks he’s Gods Gift to medicine & he is the only person that knows anything about medicine. He doesn’t listen. He thinks he knows your body better than you do. I wouldn’t waste my time, breath, nor money on this man.

Since Dr. Tinsley has become my Primary Care Doctor at the Hampton VA I have developed a new level of comfort that I am now receiving the proper and excellent care for my diabetic and heart conditions and he has been very helpful in assisting me in dealing with pain in my back from spinal injury fusions and I now am able to exercise by walking daily

Dr. Tinsley is currently my physician at the VA medical center in Hampton. He seems intrested in my health, spends time listening and answers all my concerns. Finally not being rushed and not spending all day waiting for health care is a positive for me and the VA.

Dr. James Tinsley has been my doctor for a year now at the Hampton VA Medical Center. He has taken the time to get to know me and my medical history and has significantly improved my medical treatment. Dr. Tinsley is very prompt in answering any communication and always willing to listen to what I’ve been through and making the necessary changes that benefit my medical treatment. He has proven to be one of the best doctors I’ve ever had and I can’t thank him enough for all he’s done for me.

As a Pancreatic cancer patient, my wife & I have found Dr. Tinsley, (as my Primary Care Physician at the V.A. Medical Center, Hampton), to be one of the most compassionate & understanding physicians, & has provided outstanding & expert medical treatment in a timely manner. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking a caring & motivated physician who is an expert in his field!

In my opinion he is the most non-professional doctor I have ever known. He Refused to do a FMLA for my job even though I was a severe diabetic and severe sleep apnea because I would not do the diabetic diet. I went to another doctor who knew nothing about me for the very first time and based upon by medical evidence issued me an FMLA to save /protect my job.
