Alert (which was also how she described me.)
I liked her, she was affable and knowledgeable and able to listen. The disconnect between what you are required to fill out online and what they have (nothing) when you get there is annoying, since it takes a considerable amount of time to do it.

She is pleasant and understands my needs. However, she did mention the disconnect between records of my health and accessibly between her files and files kept by OPTUM. An example is: I filled out all the answers to the questions online, and when I arrived I had to do it all over again because Dr. Briggs's office didn't have any of that available information.

Does not know her patients history and is not familiar with the Optum program, who does referrals and does not respond in a timely manner. I?ve been waiting for a chiropractor referral for almost 2 months, the first one does not take Optum or United Healthcare anymore which I?ve tried to explain to them now at least three times on three different telephone conversations, including Janet Briggs and she keeps telling me well she?ll look into it, but she never gets back to you with a response. i?ve also been waiting for an ophthalmology referral for a second opinion and I have yet to receive that I don?t know what is wrong with the system, but we would not be continuing with Janet Briggs her office staff. Valerie is great and Desi, the nurse practitioner or physician assistant I?m not sure what she is is wonderful. Very unfortunate, as Janet Briggs seems uneducated in how things work. I?m also very unhappy with optimum general because I?ve tried to get someone to help me with both of these issues and I can?t seem to get a return phone call back from somebody as well.

We'll miss Dr. Briggs!
Dr. Briggs has been my and my husband's PCP for the last 3 years, and we both love her. She is down to earth and nice to talk to, which made going to the doctors a bit more chill than past experiences. She has given us blood test results (good and bad), as well as referrals and advice regarding vitamins, health choices, optometrists, podiatrists, nutritionists, and therapists. She was also the one to confirm my pregnancy to me and congratulate me.We just moved out-of-state, and we'll miss her!

Completely incompetent
My first appt with her, she looked like she was falling asleep and could barely answer any of my questions. Second appt, I asked her questions about a result of my tests and all she could say was “I don’t know” basically, lazy and uninterested in actually helping people. Maybe she just likes the title of MD.

Doctor Briggs is one of the least compassionate, self centered people I've had the mis fortune to deal with. She portrays herself as an actual MD, but isn't. Told us she won't deal with 'diabetes issues with a 10 foot pole' to a type 1 fragile diabetic. It took many months to get her to write simple prescription for things such as a new prothetic and diabetes shoes, had to go elsewhere and got the prescriptions immediately. She has zero compassion and should NOT BE WORKING WITH HUMAN BEINGS !
