Dr. Jason Bentow, MD

This was my 2nd and last appointment with Dr. Bentow. My 1st encounter was fine (full body check), but I hadn't seen a dermatologist for many years and didn't know what to expect. The next year my 2nd annual exam was not good. It was rushed, and when I asked about a suspicious place on my face his response was 'what do you want me to do about it?' Really? He was in and out of the room in less than 5 minutes and I walked out feeling disappointed. He gave me a lotion for the 'spot' on my face and that was it. A few months later I was able to get in to see a different dermatologist at a different office. That 'suspicious' spot on my face? Yep, pre-cancerous and removed. In fact, my new dermatologist found several areas of suspicion and took nearly 15 minutes with the exam.While Dr. Bentow's office has a nice staff, I will not return.

Dr. Bentow spends very little time with a patient. My experience was ok, but my spouse's was not. The doctor made an incorrect diagnosis without a biopsy, and rushed out of the room, leaving no time for questions, left his PA to do the rest, and didn't order a follow-up. We went to another dermatologist and had a much different experience.

Dr. Bentow saw me for the first time for some spots, and he gave me one prescription. The doctor did not examine my spots thoroughly and prescribed medication immediately. He told his MA the name of the drug and left within 5 minutes. I felt hurried and as though he did not care about me as a patient. I do not support him in any way.

Visited Dr Bentow for the first time for hair thinning and acne. The doctor didn't look closely at either my hair or the acne and straight away suggested medication. Not explaining what could be causing it. He gave the names of medication to his MA and left within 3mins. I felt very rushed and didn't feel he cared about me as a patient. If my experience changes over the next visits, I will make sure to update it here.

Great dermatologist! He listened to my concerns and took them into account and made me feel like he truly wants to help. He's also very knowledgeable and can support his advice with years of experience and scientific data. I would recommend Dr. Bentow to anyone seeking Dermatology consultation.

Dr. Bentow spent less than 3 minutes with me as a new patient. I was concerned about some new spots and he gave me two prescriptions, both did not work and there are no changes. I've called/emailed several times the past 6 months with no response or with a we will call you back. His assistant "forgot" to send the prescription the first time and did not send it until I called several times to remind them. Dr. Bentow is unprofessional and does not care about his patients or the amount of money and time they are spending to see him. I do not recommend him at all.

I came in for the treatment of chigger bites. The staff was very responsive and did detailed questioning. Dr. Bentow was especially thorough in determining what treatment should be done and explained every detail about my condition. I highly recommend Dr. Bentow. Excellent communication.

I have been under Dr. BENTOW's care for over a year. I am ecstatic with the results. I was seen again today in his Denton office. Debbie and Adyson were friendly and efficient. His office's COVID-19 measures made me feel SAFE. Dr. Bentow is Bodacious. Earnest and extraordinary. Nice and natural. Thorough, thoughtful and trustworthy. Open, observant, & objective. Wise. Worth the Money! Wow!

Dr Bentow has made me more aware of protecting and monitoring my skin and has a very comfortable professional manner. He explains issues and procedures in a way that I understand what needs to be fixed and my choices.
