Dr. Jeffrey Bunn, MD

Dr Bunn had cleared my dad of throat cancer after receiving treatment only to find out he still had cancer. Other doctors had stated Dr Bunn was still concerned of other areas but still cleared my dad. My dad had also expressed concern about the pain he was in and dr Bunn did not take the time to investigate what was causing the pain but instead brushed him off and said it’s just side effects of treatment.

Do not go to for cancer treatment. He dismissed my dad's chronic pain and didn't take him seriously when he expressed pain for his cancer. Did not give follow up calls or information on cancer. Had to wait a long time in between appts. Did not give clear directions on what was happening w my dad's treatment. My dad couldn't get or open his mouth for 2 months and doctor was not concerned. Turns out it was cancer. Said my dad was cancer free after treatment. Then come to find out other doctors said he was concerned about my dad's lymph nodes and he was not cancer free. Got no answer as to why dr bunn called and said he was cancer free. Been two months and my dad still cannot open his mouth and in constant pain and doctor is giving no help.

Dr. Bunn and his medical assistant Jolene are amazing! Both are extremely professional. Dr. Bunn is an amazing surgeon and doctor and I would not recommend anyone else for ear nose and throat needs. Cannot say enough good things about Dr. Jeffrey Bunn!

My initial visit with Dr. Bunn was excellent. We discussed my condition and options. I had done considerable research prior to our visit about my condition and options available to me. I chose to have my thyroid removed because all prior testing had come back inconclusive as to whether it was cancerous or not. I already knew I would be on thyroid medication the rest of my life whether thyroid was removed or not. I found Dr. Bunn to be attentive to my discussion of options, compassionate and involved during our discussion. I would highly recommend Dr. Bunn.

I was impressed with his kindness, concern, and ability to explain my diagnosis (throat cancer) and treatment plan so I could understand it and feel good about it.

I would let Dr. Bunn treat me over and over again he is an excellent surgeon and takes the time out of his busy life to make time for you, he even visited me in the hospital on his day off and the next morning. He even called my husband during my surgery to talk with him because he did not want him to worry.

I was very impressed with his staff and him I was nervous and they were very informative about the action plan.

A+++. Dr. Bunn was thorough, kind and brilliant in rapidly finding and treating my throat cancer, then taking care of me through the whole journey of my treatment, leading to my eventual cure. I always felt I was treated with love and respect and given the best possible care.

1 star is for his personal Nurse who is Exceptional!! My 1st impression was his arrogance. Like we didnt know what we were talking about. He soon learned we did. He refused to answer 1 specific question 4 different times. He was happy he had gotten out of surgery early! HE TOOK A SHORTCUT to do it though, with lasting aspiration issues, for MINUTES when eating, for the patient! (The question he refused to answer 4 times was in regard to this shortcut NOT being done). Super scary for me right now!!! The patient throws up many meals and have lost much weight. Even walking is hard on breathing. Plus the hospital nurse chided the patient for laying in their urine just after surgery. GRRR! No depends was put on them before hand! (5 hours surgery start to hospital room) If covid-19 takes this healthy before surgery patient, Dr Bunn will probably just shrug his arrogant shoulders. Telling everyone, Doctors included, to stay away from Dr Bunn! Wish we had time to go to Seattle Doctors!!!

Every visit with Dr. Bunn and his staff has been pleasant and situations are explained to be understood easily.

Dr. Bunn saw me even though his schedule was full- I was actually being seen by another doctor and the doctor told me he was not comfortable doing the procedure and wanted me to see Dr. Bunn. Dr. Bunn came in and went over everything with me. Though I already agreed to the procedure, he still explained everything in detail-to make sure everything was clear. I saw 2 doctors that day, and I was not charged for seeing Dr. Bunn. He was there before surgery, and was 1st person I saw after. I saw him a few years before for the same condition- and he was concerned enough to call me a week later personally to see if I was alright. Dr. Bunn is caring, kind, honest, and very professional.

Dr. Bunn and his staff are professional, efficient, and very kind. Dr. Bunn's reputation is exceptional for a reason: He is intelligent, well informed, and friendly.

I've been seeing Dr. Bunn since Dec.19,2018 when he performed surgery for me because of new diagnosis of cancer in my mouth. He is very knowledgeable and a caring person. He takes time to explain everything to the patient and to my family.He follows me closely and referred me to a wonderful oncologist/radiologist as it turned out I had radiation as well. His staff is also very helpful and keep things moving as smoothly as possible. They provide personal support as well. I was referred to other entities that are necessary in the treatment of this type of cancer. Everyone was caring and supportive.

Dr. Jeffrey Bunn and his Nurse Jolene at Columbia Surgical Specialists are simply the kindest and compassionate people. They listen to what we have to say and are very thorough with answering any question we have. I hope you never have the pleasure of meeting them but if you do you will feel secure in knowing they are always there for you.

Dr. Bunn was my second opinion Dr and explained my condition and treatment options in great detail. He answered all my questions and concerns and made sure I understood the answers. I felt very confident that my surgery would be successful. It was and my recovery was a breeze!

Dr. Bunn is great!

I would not recommend Dr. Bunn after my experience. It was my experience that my child's health was not his priority.

I have been treated by Dr. Bunn after being treated for throat cancer. He has always listened to us when we have had concerns about treatments. My throat has tried to close up due to the scaring from the radiation treatments. Dr. Bunn has treated this condition on two occasions. Both he and the surgical team answered any and all questions that I had prior and after the procedure. I am very pleased to give Dr. Bunn a very positive review regarding patient care.

Dr Bunn was everything you want your physician to be. He was knowledgeable about my condition, compassionate and caring about my concerns and took the time to make sure I was confident and comfortable with the information I was given and the plan of care.
