Dr. Jeffrey Hollingsworth, DO

Recently, my care was abruptly terminated and the justifications were 1) too many 'no-shows', and 2) that the office would soon be moving away from medicine management entirely and towards TMS and Ketamine treatments.After trying several times to reach the office for the past 2 weeks via email and phone in order to get my medical records transferred to a new doctor, I have been consistently ignored. Upon calling from a different phone number, they finally picked up.Overall, it seems like Pacific Psych Centers is more interested in profits from expensive therapies over the wellbeing of long standing patients. I feel discriminated against since these 'no-shows' were a completely unavoidable consequence of my diabetes and a result of insufficient scheduling SW (OnPatient). There was insufficient notice of termination, no continuation of medication, and a lack of communication which made the release of my medical records nearly impossible. This is the definition of patient abandonment.

Ketamine treatments at Pacific Psych Center‘s have changed and saved my life! It’s a wonderful location right off the shore and so when your designated driver comes they have a beautiful place to relax right next to the center. The staff is friendly, accommodating and very helpful. I can’t say enough good things about Pacific Psych Center.

Dr. Hollingsworth took the time to throughly understand my clinical picture and was able to make appropriate recommendations including not pursuing ketamine treatment as I am not a suitable candidate. I appreciate his honest opinion. He also refunded my money from the consult because I was not a good fit for Ketamine even though he spend over 30 minutes talking to me. Dr. Hollingsworth is an excellent psychiatrist with strong clinical judgement.

I saw Dr Hollingsworth offered cutting edge FDA-approved treatment for depression that has not been successfully treated through traditional therapies. But I didn't realize how much of a breakthrough the treatment was compared to pharmaceutical medication, which can take days or often weeks to work and has so many side effects. I was stunned at how much my depression lifted after the first IV ketamine session, and other than being a little tired and woozy afterward, I had no side effects. Infusion room very comfortable with reclining chairs. The Dr. is skilled in IV insertion and I felt no discomfort at all. The ketamine treatment was very nice and I felt a sense of wellbeing for days afterward.
