Dr. Garst has been my oncologist for three years. I have stage four lung cancer and she is treating me with immunotherapy, Keytruda. I have been in remission for at least 2 1/2 years. She is the kindest, and most thorough doctor I have ever met. I would recommend her to anyone who Needs an excellent oncologist.

She made very important decisions and pushed her agenda with not having all the facts, admitted by her in our initial consultation. I warned her that my partner had huge issues dealing with the chemo he received at another hospital. She stated she was unaware that he had received any chemo. She went ahead to push her chemo agenda. After 6 weeks and 1 chemo treatment, my partner of 26 years died due to issues caused by the chemo.

Dr. Garst cared for my grandfather in Wilmington NC when he was diagnosed with metastatic cancer. She was the most caring doctor. We never felt rushed when asking her questions. She was so down to earth and her smile lights up the room. Dr. Garst is one of the finest examples of a Physician I have ever encountered. Duke is now a much better place for having her as a member of their staff! You will be in excellent hands if you choose Dr. Garst as your oncologist!!!!
