Dr. Jennifer Gyi, DO

The Dr is a nice person but was totally useless and unhelpful. My family has successfully used several other tri county doctors so we were surprised at how poor this experience was. I’m guessing that “backs” are not a strong point of the practice.

Dr Gyi is extremely knowledgeable and has genuine concern and compassion for patients. I highly recommend her.

Dr Gyi is the best

Dr. Jennifer Gyi is in a league of her own and to think that you can find a doctor such as this in such a time as this where everything is based on the Dollar $ is incredibly uplifting to me. I still believe that not everyone can be bought with money and at the end of the day humanity and empathy are the forerunners of a great society. I would greatly recommend this awesome doctor because she is truly dedicated and caring towards her patients and would separate facts from fiction.

Dr. Gyi takes the time to listen so that I can participate in creating a plan to manage my condition.

Dr. Gyi is very thorough. She is compassionate and down to earth. She is very knowledgeable in many areas and has got me on the right track. I would recommend her to anyone.

I have been seeing Dr. Jennifer Gyi for over 3 years and with epidurals and physical therapy she has reduced my sciatic pain substantially! I have two cysts in my lower back and spinal stenosis which has required the epidural corticosteroid treatment regimen. My last one was March, 2022 and I have been fine since. Now she is treating bursitis in my left hip and I just received a targeted cortisone shot with lidocaine yesterday and pain is virtually gone. High marks for Dr. Gyi.

She was extremely late to my appointment, no apology. When she finally showed up she was unprepared and ended up providing the wrong diagnosis. Waste of my time.

My first appointment with Dr Gyi I felt like she was not focused. Went to PT and had a MRI. I had said the pain was left side running down my leg and one side of the knee had pain the other numbness. Plus I drew on the image they supplied - plus I listed all the info and meds I’m on. Went back second time. Waited a while because she saw later scheduled appointments before me. Dr Gyi said “you have a good spine. No herniations. It’s good news”. Great so where is the pain coming from. “Oh you have pain?” Yes. Hmmm ever take a steroid? YES. I have RA on steroids right now. It’s on my pain list. Oh hmmm. Ok well back to PT and you’ll have to have another mri of the back left side. Yikes. My insurance just changed and I have to pay 20%. Can’t get a cortisone shot (also know as an epidural) until 12 PT sessions. Which are costing $30 each plus 20%. I knew she wasn’t listening to me on the first visit. And the result is pain for another two months and a lot more money. ???????

Dr. Gyi really knows what she is doing. My epidural shot was painless. I will have to wait two weeks before I know if it worked or not. The comments from others about scheduled appointment times and when you actually get to see her are accurate. With that said, I think that is a practice issue, not an issue with her medical skills. She is an excellent doctor and knows what she doing. To me, waiting a little longer than expected is okay if it results in correcting my back pain......

Extreme Neck and Back pain and I was highly disappointed with the care and treatment received. I also waited 3 weeks. Injections could not be done I had to stop due to the position of laying on stomach caused chest pain and breathing issues severe. My doctors in FL were able to do this procedure sitting up since I had shoulder surgeries in the past. I have Chronic Pain therefore I am able to tolerate extreme pain and could not go through with procedure at all. Following up with another doctor.

Dr Gyi has helped me with my lower back pain. She is easy to talk too and lowers my anxiety

I went to Dr. Gyi for back problems & neck problems. She examined me each time & ordered the necessary tests to determine the cause of my problems. Dr. Gyi is an excellent doctor. She spent plenty of time with me, listened to what I had to say about my symptoms, asked me questions about my problems, went over my tests results & the treatment needed. I wish all doctors were as kind , caring & helpful. Dr. G is an awesome doctor & a very kind, caring & wonderful person.

Made an appointment to see here for moderate lower back pain and a lump lateral to the base of my spine. No appointments were available for two weeks. By the time I saw her the pain was so bad I couldn’t walk or stand. I waited in the waiting room for half and hour. She saw me fore five minutes, stared at me blankly as I gave her a history and said “you’re too young to be experiencing pain this bad, you should go to the ER.”

If you are in need of an urgent epidural shot, do not waste your time with Dr. Gyi. My mother went to Dr. Gyi with unbearable 24 hour pain in her leg and knee as a result of a herniated disc. After reviewing the MRI, Dr. Gyi recommended an epidural shot for pain releif. However, the earliest epidural appointment available was "3 weeks" away since Dr. Gyi only performs these shots on Mondays. I explained the urgency and level of pain but it did not make a difference. They are not flexible.

I had my 1st consult with Dr Gyi and I didn’t have the best experience. When I arrived at the office there was no parking avail. I had to park illegally and then keep running outside to see when someone was leaving. Then despite being on time, I had to wait about 1hr to see Dr Gyi. It was my 1st apt and she spent aprox 5 min with me. I feel like I need to get a 2nd opinion to feel more comfortable. Also hoping the office staff can do something about overbooking so patients have a place to park.
