Dr. Jim Harjo, DO

Very Good. He spent ample time with me explaining the treatment options and the medication I am taking. Fast to make an appointment and/or answer questions via the Patient Portal. His staff (Kim) is great as well.

I had a very negative experience with Dr. Harjo. He was supposed to be taking care of my mother on Home Hospice with Compassus Hospice, but however he failed to see her or even talk to her one time during the 14 months she has been on home hospice. He failed to respond to messages or phone calls from the office, despite me calling the office requesting a call from him every single day for over a month when her pain was worsening and still not under control, even after 12 months on hospice. Even as her condition worsened, he refused to see her in person or even talk to her on the phone. I recommend staying far away from this man and Compassus hospice, they have made the end of my mother's life so much more difficult and painful than it has had to be.

Dr. Harjo served as my Primary Care Physician for three years; unfortunately his Care ATC location is set to close and he will be moving on! Dr. Harjo was always kind and courteous, and he really took the time and effort to understand my needs as a patient. He helped connect me to specialists for my needs beyond what he could provide, and I always felt seen and heard when I visited. Wherever he ends up, I can't recommend him more highly.

My experience was refreshing and gave me hope after being swayed by bad past experiences somewhere else. He listened, engaged, and offered solutions and empathy. He didn't treat me like some weird science mystery that couldn't be helped like my last place. I do recommend him for sure.

Dr. Harjo is now with Care ATC and in the 10 years I've been a patient there, he is the best doctor I've seen. He acts like he cares and really listens to concerns. He always spends a decent amount of time with me and never acts like it's a hassle. He is knowledgeable about a wide array of conditions and takes the time to explain them. He always discusses medication changes with me thoroughly. I'm very fortunate to have finally found him.

Doesn’t listen. Talk more than listening. Seems to have very little knowledge. Has a path of treatment decided before discussing it with the patient.
