Dr. Joanne Waeltermann, MD

Although Dr. Waeltermann is a very proficient at her practice, patient care is far more than proficiency. My husband took our daughter there for her last appointment and at the time told me she was rude to him and he would not take her again. I just took my daughter again for a follow-up and was turned away by Dr. Waeltermann because I forget the insurance card stating, "I will not see her without her insurance card." The staff is friendly and professional and had already worked with me on a plan to get them a copy today and by no means are lumped into this poor review. Thank you Dr. Joanne Waeltermann for showing your clients that you value your bottom line (although I offered to pay for the visit out of pocket) before your clientele. I will not use Kids Eye Care of Maryland again for any reason.

My daughter was comfortable with her. She took her time and diagnosed her and we have continued care with her. My daughter absolutely loves her. She is very patient and understanding which you should be when dealing with children. I have and will continue to recommend her to others.

Dr Walterman found,my stepsons,brain tumor at an eye exam.....she was professional ......immediately contacted our pediatrician. ..and luckily he was admitted to Hopkins and tumor was benighn...and removed.....he had been com Plaining first of neck pain.....then felt like he was going blind....so I immediately called Dr waltermann.....I believe she saved his life.....she is the best by far.....

Dr Waeltermann does not schedule urgent appointments for non-emergencies, and she works at her own schedule. The important thing to remember is that she is a knowledgeable professional with a tremendous experience and proven expertise in her field.
