Hip Replacement
After receiving a hip replacement I was left with one leg longer than the other. It has been a life changing disappointment

Bad knee replacement results!
BAD RESULTS! Fast forwarding, a year later dealing with severe pain and doctor did not have an answer or further treatment to fix his work! Prior to surgery doctor said the only thing I would not be able to do is run & jump! Now, I can barely walk, bend, or sleep with having pain! I went 6 months after surgery; dr took an X-ray and said he couldn’t see anything wrong. He didn’t offer any other explanation. He didn’t refer me to anybody else; nor did he bother to keep evaluating me down the road! I would do your research before letting Dr cut you knee out! Every day pain reminds me of the wrong choice of using this Dr!! Beware!

Phoned Boerne office to make appt told I was looking for alternatives since I cannot use steroids and don’t approve of pain meds. Dr told me he “prefers surgery”,”maybe you should consider moving to Austin with your kids” and I started crying because I asked if there was anything else he could recommend and he repeated his preference “I prefer surgery” that he’d wire my fingers during surgery as a solution. I took off work paid $50 and left shaken and crying in my car before heading back to San Antonio. I felt betrayed and like he didn’t even care! I had no confidence that I’d find help. Since then I’ve found a orthopedic and neurologist that does care and they are helping me. Dr Nielsen was cold and uncaring! I have a brother-in-law retired orthopedic surgery and another is a neurosurgeon. Told them about experience; agreed he was out of line with his demeanor and maybe I shouldn’t have mentioned (them) because it may have been off putting to him particularly.missed work and $50!!

Dr. Nillson is a kind Dr. that I have trusted to inject cortisone into my arthritic hand, shoulders and knee multiple times). He has performed shoulder and bicep repair surgery on me all very successfully. Honestly when you have this much pain and you allow any person to do this many procedures on you it’s obvious he’s doing them right. He is careful when doing these injections and gets it over with quickly! After all this I consider him a friend now and TRUST him. XRay on site is a + 7/4/18

Dr Nilsson discussed all my treatment options thoroughly and understandably. His office staff was helpful and professional. I had left THR in December using Makoplasty robotic assisted. I was walking the same day and went home at noon the day after surgery. I am headed back to have bilateral total knees also using Makoplasty next month. I am so pleased to have found a wonderful surgeon that uses the best technology to ensure such great results.

I had a non-union fracture of my collarbone due to a motorcycle accident. The first doctor I saw did nothing and suggested it would heal itself. Went to Dr. Nilsson seeking a second opinion and he was awesome. He recommended a bone graft and a plate and screws. Surgery went well, and I am good as new. Couldn't be happier with his service and how I was treated at his office. Highly recommended.

Very terrible experience. The staff is not just rude but down right mean to patients. The doctor doesn't like to answer questions and sometimes refuses to answer questions or even address your concerns. He messed up both my ankles and caused the worsening of my recovery based on his failure to address my questions or appropriately examine my ankles and listen to my concerns. I would never use any of the doctors in his practice ever again. There is more but I'm out of space.
