Find a different doctor to begin with because eventually you're very likely going to do just that anyways.

Dr. B walked out on his practice in July leaving his patients scrambling for care and his staff screwed. His staff literally told me that. Clearly he never read his hippocratic oath. To add injury to insult Advocate Medical which is considered to be one of the poorest run institutions completely disconnected from its patients has continued to bill and send to collections 2 office visits from which I was not even in the state. All corroborated with documentation. The office manager is non existent and it is near to impossible to actually speak to ANYONE from the office as ALL calls run through a myriad of off site centers who then must only message the office and you do not receive a reply. I have never experienced such a poorly run and inept medical practice in my life. STAY AWAY FROM ADVOCATE AT ALL COSTS!

Dr. Balocki has been my doctor for 30 years. I have never had any complaints when dealing with with him and his staff. He has always taken the time to listen and help me through whatever I was there for. I do find it hard to believe that he retired, given are conversations in the past. I just received a call from his office last week stating that they would have to cancel my next appointment due to him retiring, which when I questioned the girl she did not sound sure of what she was supposed to say. Is there anyone who knows what is going on. Thank you.

Dr. BALOCKI AND SIMI, HIS NURSE, ARE EXCEPTIONAL. THEY ARE ALWAYS CARING AND KIND AND TAKE EXCELLENT CARE OF OUR FAMILY. IT IS RARE IN TODAY'S WORLD TO HAVE SUCH PROFESSIONAL CARE WITH A HEART!

My son was treated by Dr. Balocki and after a year and a half of complaining of severe stomach pain, Dr. Balocki continued to treat him for GERD, ulcer, and pancreatitis but never once referred my son to a GI specialist for a second opinion. My 43 year old son was admitted to Huntley Hospital with jaundice in September of 2018 and the GI specialist told us that he had pancreatic cancer with mets to the liver and bile ducts. The GI specialist told us that if my son had been referred to him earlier, they would have removed his pancreas before it spread to his liver and bile ducts. My son passed away on Mother's Day, 2019. He has a 7 year old son and 4 year old daughter who will grow up without a father. So sad. PLEASE DO NOT USE DR. BALOCKI and GET A SECOND OPINION FROM A GI SPECIALIST.

Dr. Balocki is my primary, he’s a wonderful, knowledgeable, great overall doctor. Very pleasant to deal with & extremely efficient.

Dr. Balocki has been our physician for the past 22 years. He treats my four adult children, who still see him, as well as my husband and I. He is compassionate and knowledgeable. His staff is attentive and responsive. Excellent doctor.

I found Dr.Balocki unprofessional. He made strange sounds with his mouth as he work putting info in the computer and continued to move his legs as if he could not sit still for one moment which cause my daughter to be more nervous. The nurse who was taking my daughters vital signs was negligent. The nurse took my daughter pulse for about 4 sec with out a clock or watch and documented in her chart a false pulse reading. This was very disappointing and I would never recommend this doctor

His staff was very friendly, took appropriate time answering questions. He is interested in my problems and addresses them completely.

Dr Balocki has been my doctor for over 25 years. I have never felt rushed through appointments, he has a great sense of humor when appropriate and most importantly, I feel like he very knowledgeable.
