Dr. John Barakat, MD

Dr. John Barakat is an arrogant doctor with terrible bedside manner. My husband was in the hospital due to severe pain with a bulging disc, pinched nerve, and torn, inflamed, and bruised back muscles, making it impossible for him to walk, urinate, or have a bowel movement. Despite this, Dr. Barakat refused to administer the necessary medication to reduce swelling and alleviate his symptoms. Instead, he dismissed his injury as “age-related” rather than trauma-induced, completely ignoring the obvious medical evidence. When questioned, he claimed to “believe in science-based medicine” yet actively refused to provide the scientifically proven treatment that my husband needed. After hours of pleading, a nurse administered IV steroids, which helped my husband to walk and use the restroom on his own.
