In 1993 my husband visited him complaining that he was unable to have a bowel movement and excruciating stomach pains. Each time John prescribed pills for a stomach virus. When my husband was doubled over in pain I took him to the ER...it was stage 4 colon cancer and he was dead in eleven months. John did not take any tests, if he had maybe my husband would have had a fighting chance. I was left a widow with two young children and a Sloan Kettering bill for $500,000 since they didn't accept our insurance and were the only facility that had a chemo that may have helped. I had to sell our home to pay the bills. I would never give John the honor of calling him doctor. Maybe doctor death.
