Dr. John Desaloms, MD

Dr. Desaloms was correct in his assessment and peformed surgery that had a perfect outcome. I no longer experience pain, and can live a normal life.

The whole team is so warm and welcoming and feel almost like family. Dr Desaloms is a very talented surgeon and did such a beautiful job on my surgery. He really cares. Stefani the PA is one of the kindest people I have ever met. Eve is the angel on the end of my calls-texts, evey time no matter how much i pestered her. Jess is very responsive to help with refills. They did a 4 level ACDF on me, and it turned out better than i could have expected. I highly recommend!

I highly recommend Dr. Desaloms and his whole team. From my first visit to my most recent follow up they have all been kind, caring, helpful and so understanding. I came in miserable but not ready for surgery, he was kind and explained why I would need to move forward with surgery. He heard my worries and assured me we could get to a better quality of life and that exactly what he has given me. Eve was so helpful in working with my insurance and getting me through the FMLA info I would need for work also. Great Team-I hope to not have to go back but if I ever need back help he will be my first call.

I was referred to Dr Desaloms for a problem I was having with my neck, and I knew right away that I was in the right place. He has the best demeanor, and made me feel very comfortable about having a C6-C7 ACDF surgery two weeks after my first appointment. The after surgery care and follow up appointments were actually a pleasure, and now, 8 months after surgery, I am back to 100%. I have had several friends and acquaintances with back and neck problems since I had my surgery, and I tell them all the same thing: here is Dr. Desaloms' number. Give him a call. You will thank me for it later!

Went to see him based off another patients recommendation. Drove 6hrs from Lafayette La and I am so glad we did. Went to him in extreme pain and he was able to help me immediately P.S. Mrs Eve in his office is awesome

Dr. Desaloms diagnosed and removed my brain tumor in record time during the holiday season. His PA Stephanie is an angel and his staff and office are amazing. Plano Baylor Scott and White hospital and their ICU also amazing. Blessed to find him and have him do my surgery!

I went to Dr Desaloms for sciatica. It was discovered that I had an issue in my lower back, needing a spinal fusion. He did surgery in Aug, 2020. After the fusion, he went in to "clean" around my sciatica nerve and discovered a knot of some sort sitting right on the sciatica nerve. He popped it out and said the nerves wiggled around. The knot was sent out and was benign and I am Pain free!!! I like to think the wiggling nerves were thanking him for setting them free! His office staff is wonderful as well. Love Eve and all of his assistants. I truly feel I got personalized attention. Would highly recommend.

I saw Dr Desalomes for my lower back. It had been "going out" for years. I'd see a chiropractor, take meds and heat and ice. This time was different. I was in agony. I got in to see Dr Desalomes quickly. The front office staff is so nice and understanding. He ordered an MRI, which was scheduled quickly! I was able to see the good doc right after my MRI. He discovered I had herniated discs in my lower back with 8 bone chips in my nerve area. Surgery was scheduled ASAP. The office took care of everything. All my questions were addressed. I never felt anxious as Dr Desalomes assured me every step of the way. The surgery was easy. Recovery has been smooth. I'm so grateful for Dr Desalomes! I'd like to add, those times you may have to wait to see a professional, do so graciously. For those that had an afternoon appointment the day of my MRI, I apologize. Dr Desalomes may have run a little behind schedule because of ME! I'm extremely grateful for the care and attention I received!

Dr. Desaloms is, imo, an outstanding surgeon. He was attentive to my concerns, very responsive to my needs. He and his staff were very thorough in explaining my condition and the treatment prescribed. He gave the needed reassurance throughout the process and I feel my treatment/surgery was a complete success. I am very thankful I found Dr. Desaloms' and for the care he provided. I encourage you to consider this good Dr. for your medical care.

DR Michael desaloms is the best I had the best experience no more pain a soon as I had my surgery back to normal very fast and he's the kindest person in my experience I recommend this great Dr to all because this Dr makes you feel better he got the magic touch god bless you Dr Michael desaloms. Dr. Desaloms performed a C6-C7 ACDF surgery on me and the results were immediate and fantastic. He is a great doctor and I would highly recommend him to anyone that needs a Neurosurgeon. His PAs are very attentive to your needs and are also great at what they do. Eve, his assistant, is also fantastic to work with.

Dr. Desaloms is an excellent surgeon. My wife and I have both had spine surgery with Dr Desolams and both of our surgeries went great. Immediately after surgery the pain was gone, my strength has returned and the tingling / numbness in my fingers is now alos gone. Dr Desaloms is one of the nicest people I have ever met and a brilliant surgeon. His entire staff are great to work with and very helpful before, during, and after the surgery. I would highly recommend a consultation with him if you are having neck or back problems!

Dr. Desaloms is amazing. He is so caring, and he really pays attention to you. He is upbeat and positive, and really made me feel at ease with my surgery. He did a wonderful job (from my incision scar to the actual procedure) and I have zero complaints. Even the radiologists were praising him saying how great of a doctor he is, and how he makes everyone feel important. Would DEFINITELY recommend him in a heartbeat!

My wife visited Dr. Desaloms for lower back pain. She said the entire experience was tremendous. She said Dr. Desaloms' "table side manner" was the best she had ever experienced (and she used to work around doctors). He took his time to explain things, asked for and answered all her questions and showed great care in understanding her pain and reviewing her MRI. He said that he sees surgery as a last resort and recommended Airrosti as a first step. It has dramatically reduced her back pain. Thank you, Dr. Desaloms.

Beyond grateful for the skills and hard work from Dr. J. Michael Desaloms and his crew. Every member of Dr. Desaloms team displays poetry in motion. I woke up one morning unable to use my left hand along with incredible pain. I called Eve at Dr. Desaloms’ office and I know she was able to tell I was very concerned with my situation. Eve was incredible. She was able to immediately work my appointment into the schedule. This was so important come to find out later because of the real risk of permanent disability if there was a delay in receiving treatment. Dr. Desaloms determined that emergency surgery to perform a fusion at the C-7/T-1 was necessary. Today, seven months after that surgery I am back on the tennis courts and living life fully. There are no words that adequately can thank Dr. Desaloms and his crew, so I can only say thank you, thank you, and thank you!

Dr. Desaloms performed a microdiscectomy surgery on my lower spine, and truly gave me my life back. He and his assistant were very thorough at my initial appointment in evaluating my condition and then explaining my need for surgery, and were willing to answer any questions I had. Scheduling all of my appointments (including surgery) was very easy thanks to the excellence of his Administrative Assistant. I felt very well taken care of through the entire process, and cannot thank them all enough.

We went to see Dr. Desaloms about my wife's lower back pain and we were very glad when Dr. Desaloms told us she would NOT need surgery, and he provided a treatment plan that involved simple injections. We are thankful for his help.

Dr. Desaloms name was given to me by my internist, as well as a close friend, who is also a physician. I had put off having my problem evaluated for at least 2 yrs,and finally decided to have an MRI because I was so miserable. I was able to get into Dallas Neurosurgical & Spine in a timely manner, and I'm so glad I went. My problem could only be corrected with surgery, and would only get worse the longer I waited. I had the surgery and I'm pain free. Dr. Desalom is incredible.

Dr. Desaloms is the greatest. He gave me hope that he could help me. When I first met Dr. Desaloms I cried most of the visit he was compassionate and listened to me while handing me tissue to wipe my eyes. The team in the office was great .
