Nothing stood out, but I'm now aware that if I don't respond favorably to the infusion therapy administered eventually by Dr. Abrar Ahmed, my future doesn't look pleasant at all.

My history with Dr. Downs goes back almost two years ago when my gastroenterologist, Dr. Andrew Gottesman, referred me to him for an issue that was not in his field (Dr. Gottesman's). Right off the bat of our initial introduction, my husband and I both sensed that Dr. Marc Downs was not only highly qualified but was also sensitive to our concerns about the procedure. He handled each of the now four appointments with confidence and ease, with a sense of understanding for our concerns, and with great professionalism. His entire office/staff seemed to be on top of things with each of our visits. I have since moved out of state, but will continue to follow-up with him whenever possible. I would strongly recommend Dr. Downs to anyone--far and near!

Never really looked for the cause of my wife’s pain. Didn’t really listen or try. Maybe we caught him on a bad day. Will never go back to him.

Very disrespectful and terrible communication skills. I had seen him once before and got a glimpse of this thinking he was just socially awkward. Would not recommend this guy to anyone.

I had an in-office hemorrhoid banding procedure. Expressed beforehand I was VERY anxious about pain, but was told procedure was not painful beyond mild for possibly 2 days. The procedure itself was not painful, but after I had acute pain for two days and still in significant pain 4 days later. No Rx was offered and I was told to go to ER if the pain was really that bad. I'm shocked at the lack of concern about my pain anxiety and my current pain state. I was not prepared for this.

I was truly disappointed in Dr. Downs. After a day of preparation I waited 75 minutes past my appointment time with an IV in my arm. When I told his nurse I wasn't waiting any longer he comes and tells me some of his patients took extra time. Then blames me for causing a delay. He only had two patients before me and he is 75 minutes behind by 9am?? I heard people in the hall talking about how he is always late to arrive in the morning. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

This Dr. really listens to your symptoms & finds the best options for you. He doesn't prescribe unneccessary testing or surgery. He solved problems that we've been to 3 other GI Dr. couldn't. His office staff is friendly & easy to work with
