Avoid if possible
I moved to Reno about a year ago and needed a new urologist to help monitor my Gleason 6 prostate cancer. I have been on active surveillance for over 3 years now and have been doing fine. What I have discovered after being a patient of Dr. Freeman for the last year is that unless you are a cash cow, they are not interested in you. After my latest PSA test, which I consider to be in my normal range, it has been almost a month and I can’t get ANY communication from them. 19 days ago I sent another message requesting an appointment or at least another order for a future PSA test, but they wouldn’t schedule an appointment with the doctor to discuss next steps or an order for a new PSA test. This is my life we’re talking about here, but they don’t appear interested in me my health, just money generated from complicated procedures. I’m searching for a new doctor.

Office visit
My post surgery (3months) follow up. Dr. Freeman examined me. answered all questions from me and my wife. sent referral to cancer care for follow up. I’m always comfortable and satisfied with Dr. Freeman and the entire staff in his office.

DEFINITELY
My experience with Dr. Freeman was excellent. While this is not my favorite visit, Dr. Freeman makes it as comfortable as possible. He was as patient and as thorough as possible. He took the time to review all of my lab work. He even made my wife (a physician herself) feel confident and satisfied that I was receiving great care. In fact, he even took the time to recommend an internist. I will be back.

Great surgeon, great person
Over a year ago I was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma, kidney cancer. I seen Dr. Freeman before my surgery on several visits and right before my surgery and he is so down to earth and kind and helps you feel at ease and helps you understand everything. He is just an all-around, great doctor and a great person. The surgery went great and I am cancer-free still a year later and I have scheduled a vasectomy with him. I trust him, there is no rushing. He takes time to answer all your questions. Explains everything in the greatest detail and I would recommend him to anyone that I know.

He’s the best urologist
Dr. Freeman treated me for a bladder tumor about 5 years ago. The experience was so easy and his bedside manor is up there with my favorite physician’s! He put me at ease in a very stressful time and he is a brilliant surgeon. So I went back for a vasectomy, so easy and fast and the recovery has gone very well. I would recommend him to anyone. He has a great sense of humor which is needed sometimes. Thank you Dr Freeman for everything you have done for me

Three visits. No consistency between appointments. No communication. No apparent concern for the patient beyond running through his playbook of usual symptoms/diagnoses. After meeting more doctors at this practice, not just Freeman, all of them in this group, are more interested to protect their reputation than to help their patients. They do not follow up with you after surgical procedures. Their on-call doctors are utterly useless. If you think you need help from these people, just go to the ER. They will not help you. They put their own interests first. If you seek medical guidance from them you are again wasting your time. They will only do the minimum necessary to get paid. They are a classic example of what is wrong with the American healthcare system. If your health is anything but routine, you are strongly encouraged to seek treatment in California. It is not surprising to see so many low ratings reviews for the doctors in this practice.

I figured after my last review in October 2019 things would be figured out with the staff. Recently I called to have a prescription filled and after being transferred 3 times and waiting 30 minutes on hold I expressed my frustration since it was a recurring problem getting prescriptions filled the person told me she did not like my attitude and hung up on me. The prescription did get filled but as a person who runs a 15 person office I would certainly know who treated a client in that matter.

My meeting with Dr. Freeman was just okay but the followup with Urology Nevada was absolutely terrible, they had me take tests and X-rays and then could not get results of the x-rays and after a consult on ruin and blood they kept telling me I had to come in for another consult. Nobody seems to record what has been done, I also provided them with a list of all my meds which nobody recorded. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!!

Not a chance. Had the receptionist call with me with the positive cancer news. Imagine that. Story even got worse than that.
