Rushed, Inappropriate and disinterested
My daughter was referred to Dr. Gelinas by a Psychologist. She was diagnosed with a few anxiety disorders and depression but the one thing he missed was ADHD!! We saw Dr. Gelinas for years and paid him out of pocket an obscene amount of money for what we received in return. Asking a child if they think their medication is “working” or the correct dose? He asked such generic questions like she was one of many. Why is it so hard for doctors to understand the symptoms of ADHD in their female patients? She actually told him she thought she had ADHD. He prescribed her an Amphetamine without telling her when and how to take it. So irresponsible! After feeling like he was not helping her and my daughter feeling uncomfortable with him constantly talking about her appearance, we decided not to go back. Best decision we ever made!!

Awful. When my daughter first started, we loved his relaxed manner and seemingly good listening skills. It turned bad when he discounted concerns I had over changes in my daughter's behavior. Turns out after a trip to the hospital and a consult with a pharmacology expert, my daughter was being severely overdosed. I realize that medication can be a crapshoot and several might need to be tried before you find one that works, but his total disregard for my concerns (which turned out to be true) was frightening and very damaging.

The doctor is a great and knowledgable man. I've seen him for 10 years now, and he's one of the nicest and caring individuals I've ever got to know. He's very normal, and will listen to you. His office staff are great as well. I went to about half dozen doctors before him and he was the only one able to handle the complexity of my case.

Staff is absolutely terrible. They don’t bother to fill prescriptions in a timely manner. The doctor seemed impatient and hurried and wrote script without considering multiple options. Not impressed.

This is a difficult review to make as I think Dr. Gelinas is a fantastic man, doctor and helps people with his kind nature. The office that supports him needs MUCH improvement. There is little or no customer service with regards to the rest of the staff. I had an overdue balance accruing for 10 months before they made me aware. The co-pay had changed which resulted in a very large bill. I would have not only addressed this but would have questioned the co-pay possibly reducing what I owe.
