Successful Cancer surgery
Dr. Hassan did a wonderful job removing my cancer during the peak of Covid (April 2020). I have been cancer free for the past 3 years and I hope that trend continues for life.I was referred to Dr Hassan via Dr. Cosby (Elite). My original doctor (Dr. Eckstein), had retired. Dr. Hassan took me on as a new patient and quickly identified that my cancer was spreading. Despite the Covid meltdown in early 2020, he was able to get me in for a successful surgery. My wife and I will always be grateful for that. Thanks Doc!

You have to be special to be seen on time
I got to my appt on time. As soon as I checked in they called my name. That should have been specious. I sat in a freezing room for 20 min until I went outside. I then saw Dr. Hassan, with a patient that came after I did walking them up front. I waited a total of 35 minutes to only spent 10 minutes of his time. I felt cheated. I still am suffering.

Dr. Hassan is a Dr who truly cares about you! I saw Dr. Hassan a little over 4 years ago for a kidney stone. I was about 6 months pregnant at the time, and unfortunately the stone was too large to be removed, and removal with laser was too risky while pregnant... so I had to have a kidney stent. I was in a lot of pain all day every day. Dr Hassan was always so incredibly kind, and empathetic. He was the ONLY one who would call me to check up on me. He even called me on a Saturday just to see how I was. Not my OB or my high risk Dr... He did all he could to make sure I was comfortable and to show that he cared. I could tell it pained him that he couldn’t remove that stone. I ended up having my daughter about a month early. To my pleasant surprise, I learned she was born on Dr. Hassen’s birthday! Dr. Hassan is a very compassionate and caring Dr. I highly recommend him.

Only for the rich. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and referred to Dr. Hassan. I am retired and on a fixed income. I found out Dr. Hassan's office does not deal with insurances. They require a $25,000 up-front cash payment. So good luck if you're not rich.

Dr. Hassan seemed like a nice person during our consultation. I changed jobs recently but new insurance kicked in a few days before my vasectomy appointment. The day of the appointment I was having issues getting a policy number. I told them when I got there that I'd pay cash for the self pay amount and if they could bill insurance the following day or two I'd just get the difference back from insurance. The nurse/finance person was about as rude of a person as I've ever met. She not only said she wouldn't do that, she also said they shouldn't do the procedure because in her experience I'll cause them problems later. I went outside to call one more time to try and get my policy number(system issue), and she walked out there and told me I need to make up my mind because they have other people they can fit into my time slot. It's pretty hard to explain how awful this person was acting. I don't know her name but she had red hair and seemed to only care about getting people out of

Dr Hassan is great, but staff is the worse. I called three times before nurse returned my call and left voice mail about different patient. I had to call another three times to talk to someone, and nurse was so rude since I told her that the voice mail did not pertain to me, I did not have that issue. Nurse said that she will be sending testing order but it did not happen for 2 weeks. I constantly have to call back to get anything done. So irritating.

Dr. Hassan is an amazing doctor. He really cares for his patients and makes the best decisions for the patient. He is an excellent surgeon but will make sure the patients have all of the options in front of them', before making a decision together, on the best course of treatment. I would and do recommend Dr. Hassan to anyone that may need a Urologist.

Dr. Hassan is fine as a provider but his office scheduler/ biller is the worst. She will be glad to bill you but fails to provide even a basic level of service, courtesy, and follow up.

I would NOT recommend this doctor!! Referred by PCP. Had a 15 min consultation for kidney stones. Told I needed x-rays for diagnosis. I still have NOT received results from x-ray or the doctor's findings. It's been 6 WEEKS!! But I DID receive a bill today for $394.00. NOT sure what for, since I still have NOT received any results!! I could have serious health issues, but because Dr. Hassan has not notified me, I will never know. If you care about your health and money, find another doctor!!
