Dr. John Sojka, MD

Dr. Sojka operated and inserted a plate with screws in my lower arm wrist area for a break due to a fall. He was very calming and answered my questions in comprehensible vocabulary, as well as showed and explained x-rays to me.

He saved my husbands arm after a major car accident. Patient, kind, involved with family, the very best doc in the world!

I have had the privilege, and pain (haha), of being under Dr. Sojka's care twice. He is the best orthopedic surgeon in the state of KS as far as I am concerned! He is compassionate and genuinely cares about his patients. In 2004, I was in a very serious motorcycle accident. I was life-flighted from K7 highway to KU Medical Center. I suffered from a concussion, two broken wrists and a broken tibia. My bones had to be reconstructed. My right wrist has two plates and eight screws, my left wrist had to be pinned and, my left tibia has a titanium rod in it now. The second time, was in 2007, due to another motorcycle accident out at Heartland Park Topeka. Topeka tried to keep me but I told them no, and my moms drove me to KD Med. I broke my right ankle and my left pinky. My right ankle had to be reconstructed with plates and screws. My pinky also has a small piece of titanium. Because of Dr. Sojka, and the amazing work of KU Med, I was and am still able to live my life as normal.

Highly recommend this doctor. I broke my ankle and it required surgery. The office staff and doctor has been extremely kind and helpful. I fully appreciate Erin and Dr sojka for making this bad situation into the best experience possible.
