Dr. John Sweeney, DO

Was treated horrible by Dr. Sweeny. He actually yelled at me when I asked him a question.

Never met a professional person with such a disrespectful, rude and arrogant attitude. I was surprised to see his parking lot and waiting room so empty when I first arrived. After meeting him I realized why. It appears that he professes to be something that he is not. He is not experienced in Sports medicine, Orthopedics and geriatrics as advertised. Money is his driving force. Don’t find this out the hard way. He has trained his office help well. They squeeze every dollar out of his customers that they can. Don’t give them your credit card number. Do your research. I refrained from using the term doctor and patient because they do not apply to this business.

I can't believe he's still in practice.

I was referred to Dr. John Sweeney around 15 years ago. One of the best referrals ever!! Very good listener and stays up-to-date on Medical Issues.

A former military man, Dr. Sweeney still maintains an unyielding and authoritarian attitude. He is not a good listener, he does not allow the patient any input or options in devising the care plan. He is uninterested, untalented, uncaring, unskilled, and argumentative. I was his patient for a year, which was more patience than I should have shown him. His receptionist is horrible too, she'll watch you be lost, driving back and forth in front of his unmarked office and yet not answer the phone when you call for clarification, then yell at you for being late. The sign on his office doesn't even say his name, just some acronym. When you get fed up with the attitude and decide to find a new doctor, Dr. Sweeney will be childish, petulant and vindictive, and try to charge you outrageous amounts for your medical records. Don't bother, your next doc will get them for free. I do not recommend this doctor to anyone. Neither does my husband who was also his patient.

It was a strange first appointment. Immediately, he seemed to doubt that I had just gotten over Covid until I explained that I could forward my two positives and two negatives from Quest. He said, yes he would need to see that. Then, he seemed angry while gathering my health information, even telling me that “opinions are fine BUT...” when all I said was that I think my pain is just from some previous osteopenia another specialist had already diagnosed. I was just there for an ear ache and to get a doctor that could have all my records in one place. Then, he excused himself for a while and came back with a much better attitude. He just overall seemed argumentative which is something I’ve never experienced with a doctor. Loved my last doctor but he’s leaving. I mean, doctors are only human and maybe I caught him on a bad day but I think I’ll keep looking.

I read that review from a woman in 2016. Some reference to women. Well I’m a woman and that review couldn’t be the same Dr. I saw. Very engaging, polite, and seemed genuinely interested in my problems. My visit with him was an hour long. The second was 30 minutes Gave me more time than any doc I’ve had.

I love my Dr. Sweeney he has been bar none the best physician I've ever had

Dr. Sweeney is an extremely thorough physician. He covers all the bases of your health care. I am a women, but don't expect my doctor to baby me, and talk sweet to me!! I am there for his expert training and experience. He has helped me discover more about my health than any other physician I've seen.

The worst experience I have ever had...I will never go back to him. He talked down to me when the new medication he put me on hadn't helped my condition and blamed me for the failure of results. He had me in tears before I left due to his extremely rude pompous attitude. I have since found out that 4 other people I have told about him have also stopped seeing him for the same reason (all of whom are women). BE WARNED!

He is the most thorough and competent doctor I have ever had occasion to use.
