Dr. Johnny Hickson III, MD

My mom has been seeing Dr Hickson for several years. He says that even though her primary care doctor says she has a UTI he will not give her an antibiotic because she will become immune to the antibiotics. Well she has now been in the ER twice now this time she had a seizure and broke her foot from a UTI. Our primary care doctor has tried to reach out to Dr Hickson and he has just ignored her. I trusted him all these years. My mom has had 4 brain surgeries. She is a very special person that needs to be treated with care. But no he doesn’t care. Also the hospital has confirmed that she’s had UTI

Excellent care from the whole staff. Nurse is efficient a knowledgeable, skillful with a syringe. Dr Hickson is a skilled surgeon and always explains what’s going on with my case. I trust that he is doing what’s best for my health.

I will be as transparent as possible. The visit was the most professional and informative visit a guy could have asked for. I have never had an operation or procedure done to my body... I have been seeing Dr. Hickson for a number of years. Staff is prompt and courteous. Special shout-out for his nurse Caitland. She will return phone calls and did a painless catheter removal 2-17-24. After turp surgery, I am urinating very well.

Dr Hickson talked me through all that was happening as he did it(vasectomy) and we had a nice conversation during the procedure. Was quick and smooth. All of the staff was very nice and accommodating as well. Great experience!

He wanted me to undergo prostate biopsy with a score that was .2 over the normal range. Was told by Dr Ashley Bowen same clinic that normally a biopsy would be done with score of over 5 or 6 the normal high range. Dr. Bowen scheduled an prostrate MRI at OU Medical far less painful than biospy. Everything was good no need for biopsy. Dr. Hickson cares more about milking my insurance than my health care. Urine tests are not necessary. No blood in urine or prostrate pain. Just another way to get insurance money.

Horrible Doctor and nasty staff. I was scared of Johnny Hickson. Never a worse doctor!

The procedure he performed went wonderful! He made me very comfortable while I was in a very vulnerable position. It was great! The follow up? Not good. Not good at all. After giving me some of the most disturbing news of my life, I dared to ask questions about his suggestions. He finally said, 'It's obvious you're not listening to me, so I'll move on to other patients,' which is exactly what he did. Please pardon me for watching my life flash before my eyes and daring to go into shock. It's very disturbing knowing your life is about to change, and not for the better. He wanted to see me in 6 months for a follow up. No way. I'm seeing another doctor unless there are insurance policies that require me to go back to him. I will if I have to, but it won't be because I want to. I recommend him for procedures, but you should find someone else to give you the results.

Doctor Hixson and his staff were very professional. I had no questions about what was gonna happen. It was explained to me very thoroughly. And even had the device that could show me how to use the implant. I'm very satisfied with the Procedure and everything there was no surprises. This was a life changing experience. I would recommend it to everyone that needs it.
