NOT your dime a dozen doc
After Dr Loftus performed surgery on a 16 year old tendon repair, not only am I able to use the finger again, but I also have regained feeling and sensation in a finger that I thought I would never be able to use again. The two previous surgeons that I consulted with before Dr L were not empathetic and felt I was 'too young for surgery' or that my (extremely limited) range of motion was the 'best possible outcome'. Dr Loftus showed actual interest in helping me regain not only motion in the finger, but the sense of independence that I lost when the initial injury occurred. Where other surgeons were lacking, Dr Loftus and his skilled expertise made the operation a success. He did what other surgeons failed to do in the past- actually care. After the initial meeting, my questions were answered and I felt confident in his skills. Now, after surgery, I am both satisfied and impressed by the skill level shown.

Terrible
I had a terrible experience with this practice from the doctor to the support staff. After my first appointment and many calls, and finally having to call my primary care physician, to get the results of my MRI. It took six weeks for them to call me back. Then to tell me that they had to have the radiologist look at it. Then sent me for another scan with contrast, never told the performing radiologist there why she was doing the scan or send any information over about me so she spent an hour on the phone while I was in the room, trying to get a hold of the office, came back and said to me, it was like I was speaking a foreign language, and I would suggest you getting another practice. Finally go in for the reviews of that scan for the doctor to tell me that my bone is lighting up and there’s something wrong but he doesn’t know what is wrong and to come back if it gets worse. Complete waste of months of my life just to have to go elsewhere now.

Removed Cancer Tumor From My Hand
It’s hard to come up with the words to express how grateful I am to Dr Loftus for the amazing job he did to remove a very large cancerous tumor out of the back of my hand. On my first visit Dr Loftus explained his strategy and how much he would need to cut out to remove the tumor and how he was going to cover the large hole in my hand from the tumor. After surgery Dr Loftus stopped by to let me know that everything went as planned and the best part after the tumor was out I had no pain from surgery. I highly recommend Dr Loftus who is such a wonderful doctor and a extremely skilled surgeon. Thank You So Much Dr Loftus I will always be so extremely grateful to you for being able to remove that cancerous tumor out of me and providing me with such great after care.

awful attitude towards patients
I was referred to him because my thumb kept dislocating. that means it would fall out of the joint and it hurt, like alot. Another surgeon suggested a fusion after I failed 2 other surgical options but sent me to Loftus for a second opinion. He wanted to send me to pain management. Seriously, for a joint that kept dislocating? Like rubbing in a cream, or taking pills would keep my thumb which is half the function of your hand from dislocating. I was already wearing splints for the weekly dislocations. I admit the fusion I ultimately had was rare but he should have known the next steps for a person with my condition.

The most amazing Dr and man in the medical profession I’ve known yet. He goes above and beyond personally spends time with you thorough explains everything. I’m amazed at how awesome this Dr is. I had a serious surgery and he aced it then personally visited me twice himself in the hospital because I had numerous other injuries and then 2 days after I was discharged called me at home to check up on me! Who does that anymore?? I highly highly recommend him to anyone and everyone needing his services.

After 1.5 hours of waiting, he spent 2 minutes looking at my MRIs, said he saw nothing, then asked the radiologists, who reminded him to look at the fluid scan, and he came back saying surgery, surgery. He didn't listen to my questions, didn't suggest anything conservative for starters, and I later found out that surgery was completely unnecessary. Plus, 6 weeks ago, I called his office twice with a question for him on the MRI but still haven't heard back. Got the bill quick, though. $eriously?
