Dr. Jonathan Rotker, MD

He’s kind,answers all of my questions… I never have to wait but a few minutes to see him… very knowledgeable.. he has the friendliest staff … he’s done quite a few procedures on me and makes sure I understand what he is going to do…. And ask me if I have any questions…I’ve been seeing him for about 7 years and I highly recommend him

I had an unfortunate experience with Dr. Rotker, a gastroenterologist who was incredibly uncaring and dismissive during my visit. From the moment I stepped into the clinic, I felt like a burden to him. He barely looked at me, rushed through my medical history, and seemed annoyed by my questions. During the examination, he was rough and uncommunicative, making me feel uncomfortable and embarrassed. When I expressed my concerns about my symptoms, he brushed them off and made me feel like they were insignificant. He didn't take the time to explain the diagnosis or the recommended treatment options, leaving me confused and frustrated.Overall, I was deeply disappointed by Dr. Rotker, lack of empathy and professionalism. As a healthcare provider, he should have shown more compassion and understanding towards his patients. The only thing good about my experience was his Procedure Scheduler, Megan. She was kind and caring.

Dr. Roetker made my mother and I feel very rushed. He was not interested in letting my mom or me explain our concerns regarding my mom's issue with swallowing. He kept cutting us off and would respond with very quick replies without having the full picture of what was going on. In the end, he said he was willing to perform ED procedure on my 89 year old mother who is in hospice care. He said she was "very high risk". He said he "wouldn't recommend it" He said the anesthesiologist probably wouldn't like it, but that he, Dr. Roetker, would do it if that's what my mom wanted. He went so far to say, "I get paid if I do it, but it's up to you." He didn't want to do another barium swallow test, and was willing to go off the one she had 2 years ago. That report showed swallowing issues in the upper esophagus but he wasn't willing to wait on the computer to finish loading the images of the lower esophagus. This was absolutely the WORST “doctor” visit I’ve been to in almost 60 years of living!

I will not be back again. Dr. Rotker is ok, but the billing and insurance system they are using is the worst I have seen. I have been fighting a bill that I should not have gotten for almost a year. They are not coding it correctly and I am being charged over $750. I had to finally pay it as they are not fixing anything. Even my insurance carrier said they are doing it wrong. They would pay more, but obviously the don't care about other people's money.

Terrible doctor with rude staff. Do not see if you have the choice.

I had been referred to a GI due to a 60lb weight loss within 10 mos. He clearly did not read anything that my doctor sent over and was extremely dismissive. He for whatever weird reason wouldn't examine me when asking my about my pain and I started pushing ON MYSELF to demonstrate where the pain started and radiated to. Which as a very young adult with minimal medical knowledge is not an appropriate to address or diagnosis any medical condition. I have had a kidney disease my whole life and am no strangers to doctors and something was extremely off with this doctor. I had a scope scheduled with him and after reading his reviews from several people on different websites I decided I did not feel comfortable going under anesthesia in his care and having him responsible for my medical decisions when I wouldn't be able to and felt that I could not trust him to do his job adequately enough to provide any form of solution to my health issues and truly feared he would make them worse.

I was a first time patient, but as a 2nd opinion. He walked in with an extremely rude attitude. His first sentence was "So why are you here" but with an belittling attitude. I told him my PCP sent me and she should have sent files. He just gave more attitude. We didn't accomplish anything in the 5 mins I was there. Especially the one medical emergency that needed to be seen that was sent by my doctor to him days before. As the appointment wrapped up he said "Can I ask you one more question" I told him sure. He said "Why arent you vaccinated for covid?" I explained that my daughter was extremely immune compromised and that her specialist and I decided that it was best for my family to hold off. He started flipping out telling me that I could get the vaccine and that because my daughter has an auto immune disorder im doing her an injustice and will unalive her by not being vaccinated. Needless to say, I wont be back.

I had a very bad experience with Dr Rotker. Even though I was wearing a face mask during my medical appointment, he asked me to put a second face mask on top of the one that I was wearing, because I told him that I haven’t received the Covid vaccine yet. He did not examine me at all, and he just spent about 5 minutes with me, as far away as he could from me, asking me a few questions about my symptoms. He ended up telling me those were reflux symptoms and that I should continue taking Lansoprazole for another 8 weeks, which I was already taking it for a long time. One doesn’t need a prescription for that. I was very disappointed that I received a $300 bill for 5 minutes of his time when he did absolute nothing!!! Today I just called to make an appt with Dr Spiceland, which is other gastroenterologist in the same facility, and the receptionist was very rude and denied me an appt with this other doctor because “I was patient of Dr Rotker,” even though I don’t want to see him anymore.

He tore my esophagus during a routine stretch. I have Barrets esophagus. He was mad when he heard I checked into the hospital after I started throwing up blood. I guess I made him look bad!!

Dr. Rotker was helpful and caring. His staff was kind and helpful too.

Staff was great, from registration to the nursing staff. The Doctors came and spoke to me asked if I had any questions and if I needed anything. That put me at ease quickly.

Routine colonoscopy done by Dr. Rotker. Good experience all around--safe, efficient.

He went above to help me get approved for my procedure due to insurance issues. Also the day of the procedure everyone onthe staff made me feel comfortable

Excellent physician and easy procedure! I was definitely apprehensive about my first colonoscopy but Dr. Rotker's bedside manner and discussion with me before and afterward made a big diference.

Dr. Rotter was very professional and very polite to me during my colonoscopy procedure. His office nurses were very polite. I was very nervous, the day of my procedure, and Dr. Rotker & staff really made me feel comfortable. I truly trust Dr. Rotker and his staff with all my medical needs. I would recommend them to anyone.

Dr. Rotker was fantastic! He took his time detailing the process and I did not feel rushed one bit. Very thorough. Staff was very friendly.

Dr. Rotker has been my Dr. For 19 years. I recommend him to family and friends because he is a caring, compassionate Dr. And very highly professional at the same time. Many of my family members are also patients of his.

Very nice and friendly. Dr. Rotker listen to my concerns and answered all my questions. When I had my colonoscopy done he assured me that everything would be fine and answered my questions before they sedated me. Awesome doctor
