Dr. Joseph Snowden, DPM

Dr. Snowden performed bunion surgery on both of my feet, a few months apart, and I could NOT be happier with the results. He and his team are amazing and were truly incredible throughout the entire process.I was very hesitant about the surgery going in, but he took a very conservative approach, which was a much appreciated contrast from several other doctors I saw who were quick to suggest new and trendy surgeries that didn’t feel quite right. Overall, the recoveries have been far easier than I expected and I am so grateful I entrusted Dr. Snowden and his team to be the ones finally helping me fix my feet!

Dr Snowden explains diagnosis well . I went to another podiatrist for over 2 years and spent quite a bit out of pocket and didn’t get any results. I’ve been very pleased with my progress since going to see Dr Snowden

Higher charges than other podiatrists in central austin. Spent very little time examining my heel problem. In conversation - I felt he was agitated and in a hurry. Spent 20 secs examining my heel and suggested insoles. No help - I need imaging done but going to switch doctors now.

I don't know how this guy ever got one good review. I made an appointment to have 2 calluses removed. One was a seed callus (I told him) and he only scraped the top rather than do it properly. Then I was charged a separate office visit PLUS for removal of calluses! Also, unimportant, but after waiting 45 minutes, he walked in and said get on the table and remove your shoes - no hello, introduction etc. tho I was a new patient. This guy needs to retire. Be careful.

My visit with Dr. Snowden was positive and it really helped me with my heel pain. He knew just what to do and even went extra mile to give me information about where to buy a heel cup to help with the pain. He is attentive, knowledgeable, caring, professional, and I will return if I have problems with my foot.

Dr. Snowden did provide a correct diagnosis to my foot issue. He missed it completely and I found myself 2 weeks later at a different doctor's office. This second doctor actually diagnosed my problem and provided care/recommendations. I won't refer anyone to Dr. Snowden. On top of that, according to my insurance, I still have to pay this doctor.

So glad I chose Dr. Snowden to perform my foot surgery. He provided me with my options and explained the surgery and recovery. He always took the time to answer my many questions. So far I’m very pleased with my surgery results. I definitely would recommend him!

Very calm & personable. He appears to actually "see" me. Not very usual these days.

This was my first time to meet with Dr. Snowden and being referred to him by my internist. He showed me my X-rays and explained to me what surgery options there were. He was conservative and suggested another route to try before considering surgery. I definitely would recommend him!

I first saw Dr. Snowden about 32 years ago for a toe problem. Needed to see a podiatrist so I naturally thought of him and sure enough he is still in practice. I was thrilled and got in to see him immediately. He is the absolute best and I recommend him to anyone, you will be more than pleased!!

I went to Dr. Snowden years ago when I lived in Austin and after I had moved, was thrilled to find him at Tx Orthopedics. He is a very through and patient doctor, is always willing to answer questions, and is simply a nice human being.......as all doctors should be. I do recommend him.
