I am a physically fit physical therapist. I had a long standing problem with patello- femoral pain syndrome, otherwise known as chondromalacia patellae or runner's knee. This is when one part of the quads fires up before the other part pulling the patella the wrong way, causing it to rub against the structure underneath causing pain. I did daily physical therapy , taping, saw MDs, tried to get better everyway I could, but all available solutions were exhausted, and my active life prospects appeared bleak. But then, Dr. Bosley came to my life. He performed a procedure called trigger point release where he loosened up the stronger, tighter part of my quads. This gives a chance to the weaker part of the quads to work in coordination with the other part. This happened over a year ago, the result was an immediate relief that is still working. I am back to my active life. I now can walk and function fully using some adjustments like poles for long steep hikes.
