I have been seeing Dr Chronister for over 8 years. He performed my hip replacement and just recently surgery to repair rotator cuff. I am less than 2 months past my surgery and have almost full mobility in my right shoulder. Will continue to be a patient of Dr Chronister

Fine doctor, very poor office
Justin is nice, but his office is poorly run. They consistently run 30-60 minutes behind and leave you waiting with no updates. If your appointment is at 2pm, expect to sit there in the waiting room until 3pm. They don’t seem interested in improving their client experience, as I’ve been a patient for years and it’s always been this way. I wish he would show his patients some respect for their time. He could step up and make improvements with scheduling and with client service, but I have my doubts. If you value your time, pick a different doctor.

We got off to a bumpy start because I was in crisis mode due to an emergency, but Dr Chronister just remained calm and his depth of knowledge showed through. He is an excellent doctor and took the time needed to explain the procedure. I can’t recommend him highly enough and would definitely use him again. He knows his stuff!

Dr. Chronister went above and beyond to serve my 91 year old dad, during this difficult virus crisis. He inconvenienced himself to make sure that Dad's bursitis was treated properly and covered with a prescription, in case of infection. He is my elderly parents' favorite because he takes time to listen to them and demonstrates sincere care for his patients.

I was not happy with my experience at this office. They seemed very rushed and spent very little time with me. The last time I went I did not even see the doctor, just a PA, and she made an error in my Rx. Errors were also made in scheduling my appointments; once I arrived and they said I had no appointment. I received e-mail meant for another patient. I was not able to sign up for their patient portal because it said I am not a patient. I'm looking for another doctor.

Took my wife in today dealing with I-T band and Nerve pain , Dr Chronister determined the source or area causing said pain and my wife was giving a cortisone shot directly to the muscle area and within a couple hours feeling much better, I would highly recommend Dr Chronister and staff at the 1900 NorthLoop location even though it was late in the evening didn’t feel rushed by anyone hurrying to go home. Thanks again for all your help.

Dr. Chronister is friendly, thorough, and straight forward. He has been very helpful. I had hip replacement surgery. It went very well, but it was followed by sciatic nerve pain which I am still struggling with. Throughout, he has been very helpful and professional.

Dr C was my second opinion dr. He looked over my Xrays, listened to what I had been going through with my shoulder for about a year, and ordered an MRI. Thoroughly explained what was going on and what my options were. Did not push the surgery I eventually had a few months later (it took me a little time to process and realize I didn't have much choice). Shoulder is doing great! I live 80 miles from the office and found it worth the distance to see him.

I just recently saw this physician. He not only was very professional but he listened to what I was saying. The xrays that I brought in were a few years old and I could tell that the xrays weren’t showing what I was telling him about the pain I was in so he asked to take another which he showed me. It was pretty clear my pain was from bone on bone. He explained my options. I decided on knee replacement surgery before the end of this year. He also took the time to drain my knees.

If I ever have to get another orthopedic surgery, I will never go back to Dr. Chronister. His office does not answer the phone, and they do NOT get back to you in a timely manner. Had surgery on my clavicle, he put zero post-op care instructions in the discharge papers. Not only did I call the office and receive no response to an urgent situation, but the hospital where the surgery was performed called his office and could NOT get a call back. Horrible bedside manner, never again.

UPDATE***** Dr. Chronister did surgery on my knee about a month ago when I went in for my first follow up appointment they took X-Rays and then he came in and told me I would need to see Dr. Munz a trauma surgeon. Took a week to get in to see him which was today and Dr. Munz told me that I have to start all over because the first surgery was done incorrectly. So now I get to have 3 surgeries instead of two. Also Dr. C lied to one of my doctors about how much pain medication he prescribed.

First I want to say Dr. Chronister is an Amazing Surgeon. If all you need is surgery and you want somebody good I would recommend Dr. Chronister to anyone. However most of us need after care and we want a Doctor we are comfortable with. For me Personally I would not see Dr. Chorister for after care if it was free. He did an amazing job at making me feel like I was a burden to his day. I hate taking pain killers and hate having to remind the doctor that I need them even more.

He acts as if you are not in pain after going threw weeks of pain and does not explain anything at all. Acts like he is in a rush to see next patient. If appointment is @9 am I promise you won't get seen till 10am or 10:30 am. He doesn't let you talk and really seems as if he doesn't care what you feel . Relies solely on MRIs.
