Does not listen
He doesn’t care to listen to you. Told me my postpartum joint pain was due to weight, then backtracked and got mad at me when I told my obgyn and she sent me elsewhere. He was not friendly whatsoever and didn’t really care what I had to say. Shortly after new doctor diagnosed me with arthritis.

He is very rude doesn't listen to the patient and treats every patient with the same meds. Doesn't want to hear what the patient has to say. I have been diagnosed with Rheumatoid longer than he has been a doctor and he was prescribing me medication that I'm allergic too. His receptionist is just as rude neither should be working in the medical profession. They are sorry excuses for humans.

Receptionist is always super rude and does not answer the phone when she doesnt feel like answering. The doctor is strange. He wasnt rude but he is also useless and orders blood work ive already done several times and put me on hard core medication that only helped for a few months. Also had to ask 3 times before q referral got sent out.

I agree with all the negative reviews I have not felt he was competent from the very beginning. I got a $25 charge because I called and cancelled an appointment after they rescheduled an appointment during a snow storm when I didn’t have my calendar. Realized I had a conflict with my main doctor and cancelled. I then got the bill. Called today about last blood work and they are closed due to software issues and do not know when they will reopen. Really??

I would not recommend Dr. Lyman. He is very short tempered and is rude if you ask him to repeat what he said. He makes you come more often and do unnecessary blood work. The receptionist/nurse is even worse. She gets mad if you have to reschedule and is a very rude and heartless person who doesn't need to work in the healthcare industry..

He is a horrible, HORRIBLE doctor who almost got me killed! I have RA, and he had me on heavy doses of Methotrexate, gabapentin, and a couple of other drugs. He ordered regular bloodwork, but he didn't pay attention to the results. I received my records from his office and know this to be true. My liver function tests were going down with each visit, and he did nothing. I almost bled to death from gastric varices. My Houston liver specialist can't believe Dr. Lyman's incompetence.

Strange. The lady at the desk was very very rude. She wanted to charge me $25.00 for an appointment that she changed and did not remind me about! She told me she did not have to remind me and that that was a courtesy and I told her don't worry about sending any lab test out for me because I would be searching for another rheumatologists.

Very disengaged! No eye contact! Introvert! Did not explain anything to me. I had to go home and look all of my numbers up on my own. All he wanted to do is put me on meds.

We called and had our first appointment within a week. Dr. Lyman listened to my husband's complaints. Instead of being judgmental, he asked lots of questions and had him explain in further detail things that needed expounding. He ordered lots of blood work and an EMG Test with a neurologist. He was very thorough. It was this thoroughness that led to a referral to an immunologist and my husband's diagnosis of a Primary Immune Deficiency. I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Lyman.
