Why does the MD keep cancelling New Patient appts?
We just moved back to PA from Florida after leaving PA in 2010. We chose Dr Kamini Gupta through our insurance company and made an appt for both me and my husband to BECOME ESTABLISHED new PATIENTS. Our FIRST appt was May 14th, it was cancelled, then we had a 2nd appt scheduled for my husband on Tuesday May 21st at 10 am, and me on Thursday May 23rd at 10 am. NOPE my husband's appt was cancelled by the doctor's office AGAIN. So, I got on the phone and threw a hissy fit. My husband is on OXYGEN, he needs to get established with a PRIMARY doctor, so that he can be referred to a pulmonologist and pain management doctors. We don't have time to WAIT, my husband is now in the HOSPITAL because he ran out of a medicine that is now causing him to have HALLUCINATIONS and DELUSIONAL EFFECTS. HELP!!!!! Why does Dr Gupta's office keep calling him and cancelling his FIRST appt to get established????

She asked me the same 5 questions over and over, never registering my answer. I then had to wait a week with an infection, only to be given the wrong medication. A medication that I informed Dr. Gupta at my appointment that I could not take. I will be going elsewhere.

I first saw Dr Gupta in June 2016. She is sweet, understanding, and has a wonderful bedside manner. She also respects your wishes and how you want to see your treatment progress. The only issue is that she is a resident; I do pray that she remains with the Geisinger Mountain Top clinic where I see her. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to family and friends for their care.
