Dr. Karen Klatte, MD

Just had first appointment, but waited a short time, then had great service from supporting staff and the dr. They were extremely friendly, and patient, listening and giving me the opportunity to ask questions. I had a stress echocardiogram which went smoothly. All was done very professionally, yet it felt like I was with friends or family. Homey atmosphere! So far, all my Dr visits at the USMD hospital in Arlington have been just like this. Unusual, as I am more used to staff under pressure.

I have been a patient of Dr Klatte for almost 15 years. I'm here, alive, and well because of her. She took the time to listen and counsel me in my recovery. Great Doctor!!!

While I believe Dr. Klatte to be a compassionate person, she completely missed my diagnosis of Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome. To her credit, the specialist who interpreted the table tilt test also missed it. Perhaps, it was because she specified a particular disorder to be ruled out, and the specialist ruled it out. Either way, the diagnosis was textbook and she refused to believe me. I am now receiving the appropriate care elsewhere, thanks to my own research.

Dr. Klatte listened to my layman's description of my symptoms, reviewed my records from trip to the ER, and recommended a course of action. She explained why she recommended the additional testing and what she hoped to achieve with those test. After completion of test, she explained the test, degree of certainty, history of treatment for this diagnosis and improvements in the field over the years. Very educational and information. Allows you to participate in your health care.
