Not what I was led to expect
I will be looking for another practice for my my eye care going forward. I have been a patient of this practice for almost a decade. I am 71 yrs old and live on a fixed income. I have had blepharitis for several years. I saved up the money for a lipaflow treatment here, $1500. I was told I would get 6 months to a year of relief from the treatment. I barely got 3 months and when I returned expecting retreatment, I was told I would have to pay again. Dr. Oxford said I needed to have either better self discipline to do the home care she recommended or better finances, when I told her I couldn't aford to pay again. Besides, after just now researching, I found that other practices do the same procedure for $700-$1000 !?!

Dr. Oxford is a superior physician. She brings exceptional skill, talent, judgment, knowledge, and a super personality to her work with patients. You simply cannot do better than her. She did bilateral cataract surgery on me a few years ago, and I follow yearly with her. ALWAYS super. Always energetic and fun, but professional and skilled.

Staff is friendly. Karen is a great ophthalmologist. Fortunately, my eye sight is a-okay, so mostly routine work. Karen speaks a little fast and I asked if we could tap on her brakes, so I could catch up with her explanations. (-=

Dr Oxford provided very attentive, high quality care. She did a great job of explaining my condition, my options, and providing thoughtful recommendations. The surgery she performed went very smoothly and I recovered well. I highly recommend Dr. Oxford.

After several nervous days leading up to my appt., I thought the prep person did a good job of eye testing. I thought Dr. Oxford was also thorough in her exam, but could have been a little more empathetic and explanatory about my future eyesight- to not do so makes me warry more.

Almost everything was great, and Dr. Oxford is amazing. I did feel a bit uncomfortable in regard to the number of people in the waiting area and their proximity to me. Felt like there were too many people, too close.

Saw Dr. Oxford for an eye infection several years ago. She mentioned something about my eye lid, but never treated the infection. She didn't listen to what I was there for. Finally saw another doctor who helped me. Had a severe infection several months ago, BEGGED to not see her saw the stand in, he didn't treat the eye, was told to see her because she was lead. Again, she didn't treat the infection or listen to my needs. STAY AWAY FROM HER. Waste of time, and money.

Very knowledgeable, it's obvious she's an expert at what she does. After 5 long and uncomfortably gritty years and many optometrist visits, she was able to diagnose and recommend treatment in less than 30 seconds. Only complaint, Dr. Oxford is slow in and lightning fast out of the exam room; you better bring your lasso if you want to spend more than 1.5 minutes discussing treatment and condition specifics.

What you hope for - the most excellent level of knowledge and skill - when you put yourself in the hands of a surgeon ... well that is what Dr. Oxford delivered. I had total confidence going in to the cataract surgery ... and I got a perfect result coming out of it. Absolutely the best medical experience!
