Dr. Kari Tannenbaum, MD

She is rude & abrupt and doesn’t answer any questions . The only thing she does is refer you to other drs. I would never go to her again

I am astounded at the reviews I'm seeing on this site, I had quite the opposite experience! Dr. Tannenbaum was soft spoken and absolutely lovely. She listened intently to my concerns and had a referral for any issues I had, right off the top of her head! To those people reviewing who say she referred them to a specialist... that's because doctors don't know everything and there are specialists for that very reason. I would much rather have a specialist give me their expanse of knowledge than a doctor, with only general knowledge, misdiagnose me. That said, she is very competent and was thorough in her examination. She took ample time to address all of my questions and I felt completely at ease, knowing I was in capable hands. I feel so fortunate to have found her and I know that, coupled with her vast network of colleagues, I will be given the very best treatment! Thank you for your dedication to your patients!

I was a new patient of hers in highland park IL. She switched me from my bc even though I had no issues whatsoever and didn't want to change. I was a new patient and when I told her I didn't want to switch she made comments about my weight (which was fine), the most I've ever been told I was overweight by a Dr was 7 lbs. I said even if weight was an issue I didn't want to try a "new" drug. The bc she switched me to made me horribly sick and of course roughly 2 years later was pulled off the market for the very same symptoms I was having. She also ordered unnecessary tests (and this opinion came from the professionals that provided the tests and asked "why I was even getting them done").

The most important thing I need in a GP is that they listen. She jumps to conclusions, cuts you off mid sentence and made it clear she ONLY treats as an internist so you can probably expect to be sent to a specialist for any other issue you may have. Not impressed.

Unnecessary appointments and holds referrals hostage, money grab and frustrating to deal with/ receive a response from the Doctor.

A primary care doctor is supposed to be your go-to, your entry point into medical care, your coordinator. Tannenbaum has been none of those things for my dad. She's incredibly rude and dismissive. Takes 5 mins max in the room, does a half hearted physical, throws out some diagnosis, and leaves. Barely even looks at you, you'd think she's actually treating her computer. Anything more complicated than a sore throat gets referred out to a specialist, or sometimes even the ER. But her office won't cooperate/share info or speak to any of the specialists. Getting anything done at the front desk is like pulling teeth with the staff, and she herself literally refuses to directly communicate with anyone. Acts like she was personally insulted if you dare question any of her diagnoses or orders. Dad deserves better. She lives up to the vast majority of her other reviews.

Reviewed labs giving brief comments; talks, doesn't listen; called the office and left a message that I was covid positive (immune compromised); got a call back ONE WEEK LATER, "Checking to see how you are feeling."

Asked doctor questions concerning my health and she said " Stop asking me questions, let me do my job!"

She seemed like a completely different doctor than when I first saw her. She has a terrible attitude. While I was waiting in the exam room she walked by and told a patient to get out of her exam. Has NO bedside manner at all. I too left that practice!

She couldn't wait to get you out fast enough. Whatever question I had she brushed it off and said I should see a specialist. My last visit she came into exam room apparently didn't read why I was there and assumed 2 different reasons before I had the chance to speak. When I told her that I had side effects after 2 days of using medication that was prescribed for me at the ER. Her answer was that I consumed enough of the medication and scheduled me to visit a specialist. DON'T use her. Totally ineffective as a DR. Staff and office personnel were fine.

Today was the first time at her clinic and She was one of the rudest people I have ever met with the title of Doctor. She was rushing to get me out of the room and did not even bother to check what I even came to see her for. All she did was tell me what wasn’t her job and then left. If I had not voiced my complaints to the front desk & they hadn’t got me another doctor to see. I would have never came back to this clinic.

This visit was extremely disappointing and I will not be going back to her ever!!!! She was not thorough, did not answer questions and was "snippy" - - DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!

The office staff is unhelpful. The office manager doesn't subscribe to 24-48 return time for service businesses. Impossible to renew prescriptions. Tannenbaum leaves mid day and no one is authorized to do anything in her absense. Find a better office to care for yourself or loved ones, I did

Kari Tannenbaum does not deserve the title of Doctor before her name and from my experience she does not practice medicine at all. She does however enter the room in a rush and doesn't stop talking the entire time she's present. She is rude and condescending and won't listen when you explain what you need. I was referred to the practice to see another doctor but due to the wait I was offered an appointment with Kari Tannenbaum instead. I decided to take it and didn't do any research prior to the appointment. Upon entering the room Kari Tannenbaum was aggressive and rude and asked why I was on her schedule. I never was able to explain as she would cut me off or talk overtop of my explanation. I have wanted to get established with a physician since moving to FL and chose this practice based on excellent reviews of other doctors. Unfortunately, they were booked for months and I was offered Tannenbaum instead. Ultimately I asked her why she was being so rude and just decided to leave.

I am upset with this doctor and the way she has dealt with my mother. Let me say from the start that we have NOT had any experiences with rudeness. However, this doctor is of no use. My mother went in for a routine check up and a reading of her blood results. The doctor said she was fine, however refused to write any prescriptions and instead referred her to 4 different specialists. We immediately found a new doctor. Don't waste your time.

Rude. No bedside manner. Very disappointing. Would not recommend.

Weak. This visit was to establish a primary care professional since I relocated. Other than blood pressure and weight, I wasn't checked (i.e. ears, eyes, abdomen). I was referred to 3 specialists and she was clear that I had to let them know she was referring me because that's how I'd get in. None took my insurance so it didn't matter.

My husband was recently there. He was treated like he had Leprosy! Total lack of empathy and professionalism! She is in the wrong profession!

The worst doctor's visit I've ever had. Not thorough, barely looked at me, and I would say just overall negative experience. Factory-esque and extremely average.
