Concerning Practice
I attended a consultation for a recommended procedure with Dr. Riggle’s assistant. Dr. Riggle happened to be in-office and was asked to provide insight to the consultation. The appointment was overwhelming as the PA and Dr. Riggle discussed procedure options back-and-forth. A pathway was decided and my procedure was scheduled for the following week. While in the hospital immediately following the surgery, I had learned that not only was I completely uneducated about the procedure, but that both follow-up and dietary care was not made. It has been 6 weeks post-surgery and after multiple calls to the office with questions and concerns, I was asked to schedule a follow-up appointment. Also noteworthy, I called to speak to a doctor after hours with concerns for infection and after a detailed explanation of my concerns, was asked if I was having a medical emergency. What was a concerning situation was completely dismissed and I was told to call the next business day.

Erin really listened to my concerns. However, due to the billing department I would say the experience as a whole was disappointing. I mailed the office a check and after almost a month in a half the check was still not processed. I had been told multiple times it was being taken care of by Denise who was very rude. After voicing my concerns to management Denise herself had the nerve to call me back and ask "How I thought she was rude" SERIOUSLY? Customer service skills need to be addressed ASAP

Dr Riggle saved my mother's life. She perforated her bowel and Dr Riggle opened her up, cleaned out her peritoneal cavity, and resected her bowel. My mom did really well. She was in the ICU for several days and in the hospital for over a week.Dr Riggle came in and sat with her many times, checked on her frequently and assessed our concerns. Later, Dr Riggle was able to reverse her colostomy and my mom is doing great. What more can I say- the man saved my mom's life! He is a wonderful surgeon.
