An excellent experience
The service I received from Washington DC VA was excellent. Dr. Katharine Harper is a wonderful surgeon, and the staff were always helpful and kind. For my total knee replacement they ensured I had a smooth prep, surgery, and follow up. I have no qualms in my decision to have a total knee replacement for my other knee. I am so glad I chose the DC VAMC and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Knee Replacement
I found Dr Harper and her entire staff to be knowledgeable, professional, helpful and courteous. Knee replacement is no fun, but I always felt comfortable that I was in good hands through the entire procedure; it was evident that the staff cared about me and my success. Dr Harper is skilled and confident, and her confidence in turn made me confident, as well. Highly recommend.

Amazing Surgeon!
Dr. Harper performed staged bilateral total knee replacements. After two decades of debilitating pain and custom knee braces, I am happy to report that I no longer need knee braces. My pain has greatly been reduced. Due to an ACL tear in one of my knees, I developed a leg deformity which Dr. Harper corrected. I highly recommend Dr. Harper and her team. She is honest and very talented . I am grateful for the improvement in my quality of life!
