Dr. McAlvany was born in Missouri and enjoyed growing up in the Ozarks as well as Kansas City, MO. She has lived and worked in a variety of clinical settings but enjoys calling NOrth Carolina her home. When she is not workming she can be found trout fishing, camping and hiking.
