Excellent Gall Bladder Removal
Top Notch! After entering the BMC ER, I was admitted and Dr. Hurtt performed a laproscopic removal of my gallbladder bladder the next morning. No post op problems at all. Great personality, soft spoken and very attentive to my question and concerns.Just what this patient needed

Great surgeon
Dr. Hurtt has done two surgery's in my immediate family. He is knowledgeable, experienced, and explains without condescending. He also takes questions willingly. He visits before surgery and after so we can see him face to face to handle the important transition points before and after surgery. I highly recommend him.

Very kind
Incredible bedside manner, calm, friendly, and does not seem to rush through the information. Makes care actually collaborative and is attentive in his appointments. Leaves room for questions and seems to be kind to staff. Wish he could be my primary care.

Excellent Physician - His Patient is #1
He did surgery for 2 of my children & was awesome with them. No complications & both were in high school at the time & he respected their privacy @ balanced it with what the parents should know. He also did surgery on a friend who had gone into the Frederick ER over 11 times for belly pain & we watched 2 ER doctors argue over the wrong diagnosis of kidney stones or an appendix. Dr. Hurtt took one look at her original images & said she needed 10” inches of her colon removed because she was have leakage into her gut from diverticulosis. Since her surgery, she has not had another trip to the ER for that. Then after the surgery a nurse decided to turn off her pain pump without authorization & he immediately responded to my hospital page, came to my friends room, reactivated the pump & made it clear that this was never to occur again. He is straightforward, honest & extraordinarily talented. Frederick & Hagerstown lost 1 of their best docs. I heard several docs at those facilities say it to
